Bipolar disorder
In my opinion, Bipolar is a psychological disorder in which a person is not able to reason before doing something. People with this disorder have abysmal relations with other people since they have varying moods, which makes them unhappy most of their time. Furthermore, wealthy people with this disorder are characterized by unprecedented shopping sprees that have no importance. Families of people with this condition tend to have difficulties when handling their patients since it is hard to tell what the person wants due to many mixed emotions. In the real sense, bipolar is a condition that is characterized by changing mood swings, with manic highs and depressive lows. The manic highs are marked with a lack of sleep, emotional detachment from reality, and high energy for an extended period. The low depressive episodes are characterized by little motivation, lack of interest from daily activities, and deficient energy in performing operations. This mood swings might last for days, with the patient experiencing suicidal thoughts from time to time.
According to my definition of bipolar and the real definition, there is a notable difference in the two meanings. In my interpretation, bipolar is a condition where a person is not able to reason by himself. Still, the real definition explains bipolar as a condition where patients experience varying changes in moods with manic highs and depressive low. It is clear from the actual explanation that bipolar patients can have good relations with people, especially when experiencing manic highs. Still, I stated that these people lose touch with society. Comparing the two definitions its is clear that I have a very wrong perception of people with psychological disorders. Still, in the real sense, these patients can live normally and interact with people in society.
