Casino craps are among the exciting and popular games in America. In other quarters, it is popularly known as Bank Craps. The game is played on the craps table and it consists of two dice. More often, players tend to yell and shout. Like any other game that involves the use of the dice system, casino craps is a game of strict standards. One of the common rules of this game is the replacement of the dice after every eight hours. In essence, a player is required to adhere to all the rules that govern casino craps.
So strict is this game, there is a rule illustrating how a player should throw a dice. When faced with the opportunity to throw a dice, a player is expected to use one hand. Furthermore, the rule of craps emphasizes the dice hitting the walls of the table on the far end. Inspection of the dice is a mandatory requirement in casino craps. This rule is applicable if both dice are thrown off the table. It is illegal to put the dice back into play before they have been inspected.
The craps table should accommodate not more than 20 players. Each of these players should be allowed to throw the dice. However, there are instances when a player might not be willing to roll the dice. When faced with such a scenario, the player might opt to place a bet on the person who holds the dice. In any case, casino craps allow players to wager on different types of bets. The craps table is officiated by a casino crew, namely a stickman, boxman, and two dealers.
Come Out Roll is one of the common phrases used in casino craps. It is used as a reference to the first roll of dice. The phrase is applicable when a player is unable to find a winning roll. Also, Come Out Roll comes into play if a roll of dice fails to yield a point or seven out.
If the player holding the dice earns his point, the dice are moved on to the next player. At this point, it is expected the new player will introduce a fresh round of Come Out Roll. On the craps table, the game should be played clockwise. Therefore, a new player should stand on the left side of the previous player.
The craps table has a layout with three main areas. There is a central area that separates the remaining areas on opposite sides. The two opposite areas are home to different types of bets. The most common bets include Come and Don’t Come bets, Pass and Don’t Pass line bets, Place bets, Odds bets, and Field bets.
Pass Line Bet
The key to winning this bet is if the first roll of the dice displays values of 7 or 11. If the dice brings up values of 2, 3, or 12, it implies that a player has lost the bet.
Odds on Pass Line Bet
With this bet, a player can benefit from different payoffs. Nevertheless, this bet requires a player to pick odds before the dice are rolled. Each number has a different payout. For example, if a player picks 4 or 10 points, it means that they will be paid 2:1, 5, or 9 will earn the player 3:2, and 6 or 8 will earn 6:5.
Come Bet
There is not much difference between Come Bet and Pass Line Bet. Both bets are governed by the same rules. For a player to win this bet, the dice must display the values of 7 or 11. If the dice displays any other values, the bet is lost. However, a player can register a win only if the dice rolls a point on any number before 7.
Odds on Come Bet
There is a similarity between Odds on Come Bet and Odds on Pass Line Bet. The only difference is that a player cannot pick odds on a Pass Line Bet event.
Don’t Pass Line Bet
The event of this bet is the exact opposite of the Pass Line bet. For this bet, a player will lose if the first roll of the dice is between the values of 7 and 11. If the values displayed on the dice are either 2 or 3, the betting event is a winner.
Place Bets
The simple rule of Place Bets is that a dice roll should display the values of 4-6 and 8-10. Besides, the payoff for this bet is dependent on the number a player has picked.
Field Bets
For a player to win this betting event, the dice has to display values between 2-4 or 9-12. If the betting event generates values of 5-8, the player will lose the bet. Nonetheless, the bets are only applicable on one dice roll.
Big Six and Big Eight Bets
Both of these events are even bets. For one to be a winner, numbers 6 or 8 have to appear before number 7.
Proposition Bets
These events fall under the category of one-roll bets and they can be played at any time.
