Multiculturalism The scenario selected for this week’s discussion is Kimi’s case. Kimi is a fifty-seven-year-old divorced woman who has two independent adult children; thus, they live independently. Kimi is a member of the Algonquin tribe; hence, she believes in the tribe’s cultural believes and values. Recently Kimi has been experiencing disturbances inform of experiencing physic events enabling her to see of future events. When the psychic events happen, Kimi sees her relatives and friends’ lives being affected negatively, which is disturbing her mental health, compromising her overall health. Kimi is worried because she does not control the psychic events, and she is anxious about her friends’ and relatives’ wellbeing. Furthermore, Kimi is unable to sleep despite self-medicating with sleeping pills (Laureate Education, 2012). Kemi’s case is complicated because of her cultural beliefs and personal belief of self-medication. The multicultural consideration in the scenario is the client’s belief in seeing the future, which she gets from her culture, which believes that some individuals possess the gift of seeing the future. Encouraging Supervisee to Embrace Multiculturalism I would encourage supervisees to embrace…
Asia-America literature In the United States, Asian-American adolescents and children get usually categorized as a minority, given their ethnic background by many kinds of literary works. This categorization has reflected on their way of life, the social interactions, education, health, as well as living with the racial and ethnic stereotyping that come with the minorities in the US. In terms of psychosocial development as well as their wellbeing as children and adolescents, the Asian Americans in this category may not be different from the other children growing up in the US with the only significant difference being their ethnic background. However, according to Wallander and Fradkin, the Asian American adolescents psychosocial functioning is below that of the non-Hispanics and the non-Hispanics African American youth (13). Besides, studies have shown specific aspects of youth wealth and wellbeing such as anxiety, depression, drug use, and defects in social well being to be associated with the Asian American youth who constitute about 5% of the youth population in the US. Therefore, the quality of life of the Asian American teen is an emerging…
Comparison between number and morphological features of neurons of cerebellum and caudate nucleus
Comparison between number and morphological features of neurons of cerebellum and caudate nucleus Abstract Different structures of brain vary in their structure and functions. The cerebellum and caudate nucleus have a range of functions although they share the common function of motor movement. The two structures may show an overlap when their neuronal morphology is compared. In this study two sectional slides from both the structures of the brain will be studied to learn their count and morphology so that comparisons can be drawn between them. This report will draw comparison between the neurons of cerebellum and caudate nucleus in terms of number and morphology. It is found that that the findings of the study support the hypothesis as both the regions show certain similarities in their neuronal morphology. Therefore, it can be derived that a set of morphological features of neuron may correspond to a particular functional group which in the case of neurons of caudate nucleus and cerebellum is the function of motor movement. Introduction Human brain has a range of structures which are responsible for performing…
Effects of Nepotism on Employees’ Productivity and Organization Performance, Saudi Arabia.
Effects of Nepotism on Employees’ Productivity and Organization Performance, Saudi Arabia. introduction Nepotism can be defined as a scenario where a someone successfully secure recruitment favors, promotion opportunities, favorable working conditions among other favors in an organization despite their knowledge base or their skills capacity to undertake the job. The employee in this case doesn’t deserve the favors received since they fail in qualification requirement but due to their relation with the company owners (Keleş, Özkan and Bezirc ,2011). Nepotism in organization has been seen to have more negative impacts than the positive impacts. Many people have ignored the aspect of the benefits that may accrue to businesses which practice nepotism, visualizing it as if to have only negative impacts which is not the case. Among the benefits that arise as a result of nepotism include, reduced cost of recruitment, increased employee’s loyalty, increased job morale and trust on the part of the employees (Williams and Mary 2003). The vice also has many dysfunctional consequences as a result of the favoritism involved. There exists a knowledge gap about the…

Cooking and its Effect on Nutrition Lesson 1: Cooking and its Effect on Nutrition Cooking is the application of one of two types of heat. Name them and then classify all the methods of cooking (baking, blanching, etc.) listed in your course according to which type of heat they use. Cooking involves the application of heat, using moist or dry methods. Dry heat Moist heat Grilling Blanching Baking Steaming Roasting Boiling Sautéing Braising Searing How does cooking improve the safety of foods? Discuss in 1 paragraph maximum. Raw foods like fish, eggs, and meat can harbor bacteria causing food poisoning, which, when eaten, can lead to illness. 5 to 63 is the optimum temperature for many food poisoning bacteria multiplication, and as we all know at high temperatures, say 70 and above, many bacteria are destroyed or killed. On the other end, at temperatures less than five bacteria become inactive; hence it can multiply at a slow rate or cannot multiply completely. A number of cooking methods, if not all, is done with temperatures above 70 at…
Personal interview, telephone survey, or self-administered survey FOR REPLY Britton Chomeau RE: Reserve 9.6 COLLAPSE In the following situations, decide whether you would use a personal interview, telephone survey, or self-administered survey. Give your reasons. You start by defining the three modes of conducting a survey and giving them the most fitting scenarios that they would fit in. In this way, I was able to differentiate how each data collection mode works in terms of the benefits and disadvantages. Given the information detailed in the excerpt, it is now possible to approach the personal interview, telephone survey, and self-administered survey concerning the given scenario. In the first scenario, we need to collect data through the use of a self-centered survey. The real nature of this makes it possible to identify the participants since it is a new sub-division easily. Your pick of a self-centered is inclined to the costs as the main driving factor. As you highlighted self-centered,is the most efficient, lowest cost, and allows access to the largest sample group(Schindler, 2019, p. 199). This factor makes it possible for…
Art Styles Cubism Cubism is a style of painting and sculpture that was developed in the early 20th Century and comprised a technique that focused on reducing natural forms to related geometric equivalents and organizing plane of an object’s structure independently of their representational requirements. The movement changed architecture, music, and literature during the period between 1910 and 1920 when it was introduced. Pablo Picasso is one of the renowned pioneers of the style of artwork that breaks up objects after analysis, and they are reassembled in an abstracted form. The technique differed from other methods and created new artworks that are not seen from a single viewpoint, and the artist depicts the subject from multiple perspectives to present the issue in a broader context. Cubism opened up infinite new possibilities that allow the treatment of visual reality and resulted in the development of constructivism and neo-plasticism art forms that evolved in later years. The ability to break objects into planes and figures to show different viewpoints of an image through abstraction while creating a three-dimensional structure. The artistic style…
Criminal groups The current popular image of gangs is that they are becoming more formally organized than before. Criminal groups comprising of both youth and adults have existed since the 1960, s to the current times. Gangs of the late 1960s were seen to be less malignant compared to present groups. Although both bands are trouble with citizen security, contemporary gangs are seen as more lethal due to the emergence of sophisticated weapons and a wide range in the drug trade. Violent related to drug trafficking and booming drug business is a significant catalyst towards the sophistication of current youth and adult gangs. In the past, gangs’ activities revolved around ethnic identity to find identity from were came from contrary to current groups which are more destructive and with the willingness to cause harm with impunity and more collateral damage compared to the years back. Youth or adult gangs are self-formed organizations or associations of peers with common goals and names. Groups are formed with different purposes, but the most common trait is that they are involved in illegal…
Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a good first week in our course despite the challenges of corvid-19. In this Week’s readings, I found Whitehead’s article so interesting. One of the things that especially resonated with me from his work was how education “has been radically infected with inert ideas” because of the heavy emphasis placed on learning content for the sake of doing well on exams (Whitehead, 1). I found those few passages very eye-opening, as I could see exactly how those ideas were manifested in our society. In my early experience, every subject existed within its realm of reality. I never had the time nor the desire to connect the ideas learned in class even though, as Whitehead pointed out, “there is only one subject-matter for education, and that is Life in all its manifestations” (Whitehead, 6-7). If subjects were tested in isolation, I never saw the point of synthesizing and thinking critically about what I was learning; it didn’t matter if I did it since all that mattered was how well I did on exams.…
