Challenges slowing down disbursement

Kindly note, we budgeted for 62 deals worth kes 3,917,827. However, we did not manage to pay this figure. We only succeeded in paying 27 deals worth kes 1,747,807.93.

Below are the challenges we are still experiencing that are slowing down disbursement.

Corona Pandemic; Most of the payrolls are closed due to this issue of Corona disease. Both county and Ministry payrolls are affected. There is limited access to these premises and access to some payrolls has totally been forbidden to minimize congestion/movement around the premises.

Below are the Ministry and County payrolls so far closed until further notice from the government. (Governor or payroll manager).

Kenya Civil Aviation –Access denied Airport area.

NEMA, Circular issues to Management not to allow visitors to the premises.

Ministry of Lands

Ministry of Housing

Ministry of Labour

Kenya Medical Training College

Ministry of Infrastructure

Ministry of Social Protection

Nakuru County

Narok Assembly

Machakos Assembly closed but will provide an update on Monday.

Tana River County

Mombasa and Kilifi County have only one staff at payroll who is preparing salaries for the team. The Kilifi and Mombasa Payroll managers are anticipating these payrolls to closed on Monday.

Pwani University will be closed by tomorrow. This was a directive given by the government that all university students should be at home by Friday, which is tomorrow.

Taita Taveta Payroll is open until now, but they are being given pressure by the government to close the payroll.RM will give us an update.

Machakos Assembly, Makueni and Kitui payrolls are all open apart from Machakos Assembly of which the RM is expecting it to be opened by Monday on 23rd March 2020.

Low deals inflow is being experienced in some regions. We still do not high inflow for T.S.C deals to upload in –house to enable us to cater for the figures for closed payrolls due to this issue of Corona pandemic

We anticipated to upload and pay Buy off deals outstanding Clearance letters and stop orders, but this did not happen. We did not receive clearance letters and stop orders to enable us to upload contracts for payment. This is being followed up by Regional Managers for finalization.

Reduce and pay Deals, these deals after cut off time to be reduced as per payroll advice but we did not get hold of the client. This will be followed up tomorrow for finalization and deals paid before cut off time.

Deals advised/worked on from the rejected list after cut off time. (3 deals worth kes 204,104 )Deals to be paid tomorrow morning.

New deals captured from the field after cut off time; we have new deals captured from the field by agents after cut off time and we were unable to upload the deals within our regular cut off time. These deals will be uploaded tomorrow morning.
