The Indians, Chinese, and Koreans connect in various aspects. From the physical features, they display almost identical features; the genetic pieces of evidence point at both Korean and Chinese’ origin from the Mongolians. Over the years, the Chinese and the Koreans have influenced their cultural, religious, and artistic ideas from Indians and other foreign countries. For example, the adoption of Buddhism as a spiritual practice among the Indians has spread throughout China and Koreans. As such, this essay exploits how Chinese and Korean art demonstrate an exchange of cultural, religious, and artistic ideas with India and other foreign countries.

Religion

The Korean religion is inclusive of Buddhism, Christianity, and Daoism. Despite social differentiation influencing religious practices, the Korean religion transformed its framework over time. In conceptualizing religious and spiritual beliefs, they incorporate various figures in their artwork, for example, the landscape. Both Chinese and the Koreans believe that the landscape art approves the existence of an absolute being and the significance of human beings. The Confucianism, another religious practice among both Chinese and the Koreans, also adopted the landscape art. According to Confucianism, the landscape art advocated intellect and humility among humans. The landscape has been undergoing various changes, adjustment, and development to become a complete and significant piece in this Contemporary world.

Buddhism religious practice came from India, then spreading throughout Asia. Buddhism in China dates back to the 4th century in the Silla, Koguryo, and Paekche Kingdoms. In Korea, the establishment of Buddhism religion and art dates back in the 7th century. The connection between the Chinese and Korean artistic designs is evident in the initial creation of statues of Buddhism and other deities. The Buddhism statue included central poses, folded garments, elongated, and harsh facial features. Later, there was an introduction of Pekkche’s smile on Buddha to reflect on the meditative. According to Indians, Chinese, and Koreans, the Buddha features reflect on the nature of the association of a higher supreme being with a human.

Culture

The tang error was a fundamental poetic period in China. Similar to Koreans and Japanese, they integrated art in the form of sculptors, calligraphy, and painting in their artistic ideas. The primary materials in painting included ink and brushes made of goat and dear hair. Through the ink artwork, there is the representation of the cultural structure and exchange from different timelines among the Chinese and Korean, for example, the tiger and dragon art. Although the art reflects on Buddhism, also it represented the cultural integration of the East and West Asians. In Japan, the tiger and dragon art incorporates humanly features to represent the Chinese and Koreans and their cultural integration. Therefore, the artwork depicted diversity and cultural assets among the Asians.

Overall, Chinese and Korean art reflects on the cultural, religious, and artistic ideas with India and foreign countries. For example, landscape art depicts the connection between human beings and the divine, their significance, and humility. Buddhism art features harsh facial features, elongated face, and nuclear posture are various inclusive physical characteristics of the Indians, Chinese, and Koreans. Buddhism art also illustrates the nature of the association of human beings and the absolute beings. The tiger and dragon art among the Chinese depicts Buddhism and the cultural integration among the Indians, Chinese, and Koreans.
