Although most people would not agree with country life, I think it is one of the best. Especially the youthful generation, living in the city is better than country life. How best could life be in the town with overcrowding in houses? High crime rates? And how homelessness? Country life would be one of the best if I had to make a choice. However, sometimes we don’t choose where to stay and live because of the increased economic hardships. After graduation, you need to relocate and fend for your family because cities host more employment opportunities. However, for the following reasons, country life is the best place to live.
First of all, there is a high rate of homelessness in most of the cities. According to The Guardian article written by Vivian Ho on February 5 2020, the number of public school students experiencing homelessness in the US has increased 15% in the past three years. The main reason that Vivian Ho links to the improved homeless situation in the United States is increased housing instability. As a result, housing instability in the country is caused by high rates of unemployment, higher costs of living and many more socio-economic issues. The second reason why country life is better is because increased crime rates in urban areas. According to Kaste and Brown (2019), the 2018 National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) suggested that the rate of sexually assaults had doubled since 2017 to 2018. Overcrowding in low-income areas within the cities is the many cause of the increasing crimes.
Finally, country life would be better because of low or minimum cases of homelessness, crimes and other socio-economic problems. In contrast, cities are experiencing increased crime rates and homelessness because of being over populated areas and because of high unemployment rates. However, cities provide high employment opportunities because of hosting more industries.
