Rhetoric has been used in this text to show the point of view of the two. The point of view of the town is that it viewed to be filled with smoke which is seen in different places. The evidence that the writer has used to support this claim is she says the trait associated with this town is smoke (Davis 54). This issue means that smoke is one of the factors that is always evident in this town because it is always seen folding from the chimneys found on the Iron foundries then settles down on the muddy slimy pools down the streets. The other evidence of rhetoric is the tense that the author uses. The author in this text used the present tense to explain the events that were happening at the moment. An example of these events is the folding of some from the chimneys of different people. Also, proper tenses were used to describe past events in the texts. Also, the future tense was correctly used in the texts. These aspects were significant in ensuring that the essay was well understood.
The other claim that has been presented in the text is the form. The form that the text has used has made eth idea that is being presented to be understood well. An example of the form employed in the text is the sentence structure. Sentence structure has been created well through proper punctuation to bring out the meaning of each sentence well. An example of this issue is in the first paragraph where the authors ask “do you know what that is in muddy town?” The punctuation in this sentence has been used to make it a rhetorical question that does not have to be answered.
