Comparative International Politics
To the majority of scholars, the cold war is an ideal representation of realism in action Realism idealism, and Economic Structuralism is considered to be the two significant theories of international policy. As theories of international policy, idealism and realism provides the necessary concepts necessary for the comprehension of global events and also help in explaining the outcome of global politics. Some scholars have, however, shifted towards the globalization theories as an alternative to liberalism and realism theories.
Realism
It is an ideology of international relations and was very dominant during the Cold War. The main premise of realism is that the interest and power of the State act as determinants to restrict the functioning of world politics. This is based on the assumption that important actors in international relations, including international organizations and multinational corporations, as well as other intergovernmental institutions, such as the United Nations, play a subordinate role and are not as important. He postulates that the nation is the dominant actor. After the adoption of realism, the State is considered a single actor, united and speaking with one voice. The state is seen as a common position worldwide. However, the authorities are correcting and correcting to obtain a unified voice due to the availability of different opinions and opinions.
According to realism, the State is considered a rational unitary actor that implements the objectives of the State, using rational decision-making tools that take into account the viable alternatives available to the State to make better decisions. Although realists confirm that decision making can include lack of information, uncertainty and prejudice, they still believe that government decisions are considered the best and most successful. That is why realists also assume that national priority is the first priority at the centre of international relations between different countries (Oğuzlu, 2013). For realists, the most important are potential and real conflicts between states and the use of armed forces to prevent injuries and territorial conflicts. In short, realists believe that other nations are aggressive and anarchist, with territorial expansion as the main program.
Liberalism
In liberalism, NGOs, multinational companies and international institutions are seen as non-state actors. They are dominant actors in international relations and, therefore, important (Kavehpishghadam, Ghasemi & Ghaedi, 2013). In setting an international political agenda, they reaffirm significant influence. They help host political events in host countries and play an important role in international relations, as nations are increasingly dependent on the global economy.
Realists maintain that the state is not a unitary unit, contrary to what is postulated in liberalism. Liberalism claims that political complexity ensures that government actors are exposed to external elements, which systematically include non-governmental entities and other governmental entities (Oğuzlu, 2013). This differs from what realists believe the state is divided into several components, interested parties and competing bureaucracies that influence foreign policy. Realism believes that there is engagement, conflict, coalition building and competition, as provided for in state policy. Liberals contest the idea that the state is a rational actor because the nation is not seen as a single factor (Oğuzlu, 2013). They argue that a process subject to counter-coalition and the creation of coalitions, compromises and negotiations cannot make the best and the best decision. Just because it can lead to decision-making with the least approval from a winning coalition, it doesn’t mean that the decision-making process is rational.
In liberalism, factors that should dominate the politics of the world besides the military and national security are the ever-changing world issues such as environment, social welfare, and the economy. A strong and credible explanation of the manner in which the global interactions unfolds is provided by the two theories though it is important to note that the interactions are subject to change just like the environment of the world. It is my conclusion that indeed realism provided a better explanation with regards to the twentieth century, however, with the examination of the present events, it is evident that the political atmosphere of the world has gone through a transformation. Based on this global change, it is better to summarize that liberalism gives a more concrete explanation of the current world; hence best explains the international system.
Economic Structuralism
Technology has good and bad results in today’s society. Another way the world works is by trade. Trade is another big resource we use in the world; without trade, we wouldn’t have as many resources as we do, there would be no goods causing more monopolies. Trade also goes along with the technology aspect because trade encourages different technology between the different countries (Kavehpishghadam, Ghasemi, & Ghaedi, 2013). Without natural resources the world wouldn’t be the same due to the interaction with the more developed and undeveloped countries, we consume lots of resources from our environment on a daily basis, the resources we use to maintain varies in many different ways, such as the food we eat today such as fish and the heating and cooling in our homes.
The political views such as government are important in how the world works because without a stable government there wouldn’t be any rules to follow leading the people in the community to act in a way they shouldn’t be acting. Political powers drive our society in a major way. Without a leader in this country, there would be no organized church that would cause many epidemics. It is important that this community has the power to keep everyone away from all their concerns and make the world a better place today. Looking at the category of social media plays a big role in the world; without the media, we would not know what would happen in the places around us. The media is important because it affects people’s worldview. It is a good idea for the media to improve our world, as it is a more advanced way to get the news out quickly. There are many different aspects to making the world work. Without it, there would be no world functioning properly.
From a feminist perception, I would advise the decision-maker to build the army because of cheap labour. The other thing is that most of the people would be able to be loyal to the decision-maker. Setting military training would also assist the community.
The reason most countries do not go into wars is that they have been able to sign in many treaties. These treaties bind them to be able to work in peace. Also, in the current world, most countries depend on one another. They could depend on the other countries to either have their goods and services sold. The other thing is the international relations policies. These policies are clear on countries that start the war. They can face sanctions from other countries due to their take on war. Lastly, countries never fight because of migration. Some of the citizens might have migrated from one place to another.
Their many factors that can make a country to be powerful. Some of the things include political stability, economic stability and strong military influence. For example, America has a powerful president. The president is all about the wellbeing of the country. When a country has political stability, it is hard for any other country to destabilize it. The other is the economy. In any country, the economy is the biggest factor. America is known to have a good economy, which means that most of its citizens have jobs. These jobs assist them to be able to meet their daily expenses. Another country is china. China sets itself has to be a super-powerful country because of technology. This has created a war between China and America. Most of the tech company depend on China for most of the mobile accessories. This makes China boast of being powerful.
If the current stalemate between China and America will continue due to the competition between the two countries. This means they can force sanctions on their citizens hence causing conflict and escalating hate. The best way to help the two countries is if they are able to talk among themselves and establish a lasting solution.
