A Poor Attitude
An individual attitude determines how the other party or any other person perceives the conflict regardless of whether the person is right. A poor attitude involves the use of sarcasm, generalization and making judgmental statements. Poor attitude forces the other party to turn defensive. One should avoid poor attitude by all means instead one should take some time to cool down and suppress emotions particularly anger before addressing a conflict. No matter the intensity of a conflict or how one feels toward an individual one should always address a conflict with a respective and calm manner by use of a neutral body language.
Running for Help
Including a third party in a situation is an unproductive strategy of responding to conflicts. For instance, someone may opt to get opinions from another colleague or even complain to a colleague about a conflict. Instead one should keep the misunderstanding or the conflict between the two of you not unless it is very essential to report. In such cases, one should look for a neutral mediator. It’s unnecessary to tag your boss along.
