Conspiracy theories on area 51
Conspiracy theory endeavours to elucidates catastrophic happenings as a result of a small dominant group of people, Katyal (2002 pp.1307) stated that conspiracy theory is any enlightenment to a manifestation of a situation that calls for a plot or a scheme by prevailing groups about political organizations or even with the presence of other feasible reasons. Most interested individuals within and outside the U.S. borders have got so many explanations of the existence of Area 51 which is a U.S. Air Force military installation located at Groom Lake in Southern Nevada (Yenne pp.18). A good number of U.S. citizens could be asking who saw the unidentified flying objects near area 51? Why was the area selected as a testing site for the Lockheed? How is the U.S. government controlling the weather from area 51? When the U.S. government will provide information about the ongoing research within the facility and why the place is called area 51. With the rise of explanation and evidence on the existence of area 51 from different authors in America, this has provided enough proofs on the information related to area 51 to the government and public which might set the whole truth about the area and the wrong being corrected.
Johnson III, and Jones (119), claimed that conspiracy on area 51 had been held from 1960 to date from witnesses, a good number of U.S. citizens, together with other randomly interested individuals, strongly believe that the American military installation area 51 is and has been researching and experimenting on aliens and their aircraft, which could be here on earth. Bob Lazar, an alleged whistleblower, claims to have seen test flights captured within the area and that area 51 reverse engineers alien spacecraft (Jacobsen pp. 4). According to Foxnews Lazar claimed to have seen flying saucers that were powered by Element 115 years before it was discovered, while he was working for the alien spacecraft as an engineer. This information is vital to the public since it has been used over time to gain the basis of the information surrounding area 51.
Conspiracy theorist believed that the government had used area 51 as the home for the mysterious black helicopters, (Patton pp.123). According to the author, the black helicopters first appeared in the 1970s. However, the theorist supposed that the army base hosted the helicopters as they were used during the cold wars. Patton (211) claimed that the government used its machinery to test the secret aircraft at the area to support the claim that such helicopters were housed at the facility. The helicopters being stored within the facility provide a clear picture of the existence of area 51, such claims from conspiracy theorist have assisted the public in knowing the basic truth of the use of area 51.
Based on the information presented by Gambles, Johnson III, and Jones (119), Area 51 is a highly classified Air Force facility for the United States government. This top-secret facility is located within the Training range and the Nevada test range. Officially, the classified facility is referred to as Groom Lake or Homey Airport. It is named after a sat flat which is situated right next to the air station. To the public, Area 51 is just an open training range that targets the development and testing of experimental aircraft together with the other weapon systems. Scholars such as Jacobsen (121) believe that there is more to the story of this base. However, the United States Air Force (USAF) insists that they acquired the site mainly to test the Lockheed U-2 aircraft. USAF obtained this base in 1955.
Following the high level of secrecy surrounding Area 51, a good number of influential people have made it a frequent subject of conspiracy theories. Moreover, the highly classified military base is taken as the central component of the unidentified flying object folklore. To the eyes of the public, Area51 is not a secret base. However, the operations taking place within the place, including researches, fall under top-secret compartmented information. This is likely the primary cause of the high number of conspiracies arising over the base’s activities.
On another occasion, Mac Brazel found some objects which were unfamiliar to him in Mexico when he was grazing. Area 51 is an area known for its conspiracy theories that are tabled by UFO. The objects were taken away by Roswell Armies in their trucks. They later published an article about them with a title, ‘RAAF Captures Flying Saucer on Ranch in Roswell Region”. The officials hid the nature of those objects and left people guessing that they were part of Alien ships. It did not last forever as in a few years later; they were discovered to be materials that were used by the military in their project, which was called Mogul. The project was meant to illegally trap information from the Soviet Union.
Another major claim from conspiracy theory is that the U.S. government has established a test site known as the Nevada test site (Chaison Np), the author claimed that al the new equipment was tested in this area. The theorist proved that any ideas that were used in the military and any equipment that was brought to army emerged from this area. Chaisson (Np) indicated that the Nevada site was about 5200 square miles and supported the nuclear bomb to be tested in the area. The area has been used perfectly by the government to test equipment since it had wider coverage and could not interfere with the public.

There are several conspiracy theories that claim the attacks against the U.S. in September by the al-Qaeda were from Area 51. They further explain that the senior government officials were aware of the attacks. However, government investigations turned down these theories. A proponent of these conspiracy theories proclaims that there are unclear procedures used to outlook their evidence. The most famous theory is that the collapse of the Twin Tower and 7 World Trade Center resulted from the demolition control instead of the impact of structural failure and fire. Additionally, the theories explain how the missile launched by the government is the one that knocked out Pentagon. They also claim that a certain commercial airline was given the go-ahead by the American military to target the Pentagon. These actions are said to have been motivated to defend the attacks from Iraq and Afghanistan so as to keep their interest in constructing pipelines for natural gas that passed through Afghanistan. The authorities are collaborating with the attackers for their gains.
It’s believed that area 51 is the land of alien, for a period of decades’ conspiracy theorist has connected area 51 to extraterrestrials, including the ones held hostage (Jacobsen pp. 119). Recently this claimed was proven on a documentary aired on Netflix where Lazar purported that he was walking hallway within the area the at a glance he saw a small alien kept hostage within the area. According to the Foxnews theorist believed that extraterrestrial spacecraft crashed in 1947 and the dead body was transported to area 51 and dissevered. The series aired on T.V. proved that the footage was al alien as a team of doctors and physician were showed performing experiments on the remains of the bodies.
In Idaho, the residents complain of the poisonous chemicals that the government was disposing of area 51 (Jacobsen pp. 198). The state was used as experimenting ground whereby some chemicals were released by aeroplanes several times in a year. The only evidence they had was the chemical trails that were left in the sky by the chemicals that remained, according to Jacobsen (177). In 2015, the residents experienced a tragedy where 2000 geese fell and were found dead. Many believed it was the effects of chemical trails, but environmentalist insisted that it was due to the infectious disease that was spreading.
In conclusion, area 51 is now a widely recognized secret in the country, the conspiracy theorist about area 51 such as the home of the alien, facility used by the government to test their weapons and theta the area is classified as an aircraft facility is valid, and the information provided by such theorist has educated the public and people have known the benefits of area 51.
