DISCUSSION
Thomas Alva Edison is one of the biggest inspiration innovative entrepreneurs who was known as the person who comes up with incandescent phonograph and the light bulb, and famous quote ” Genius is 1 percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration”, instead the inventor was more than that; in his time he was a very successful businessman and entrepreneur. He came up with the most significant innovation and inventions that are now used all over the world, and the benefit of his design these days is still being reaped. He founded General Electric Corporation, and he also owned Edison Studios.
At the age of 22, he made his first innovation, which was the Universal Stock Printer, and this was the first broadcasting system to run on electricity. Despite this, by making some transactions synchronized, he was capable of improving the existing stock sticker. The innovation was bought by Stock Telegraph Company and Gold and allowed the inventor to use the money he got to come up with a small laboratory to keep doing his invention. He also resigned from his day as a telegraph operator.
The following are well-known accomplishments and contributions he made as an entrepreneur. He formed many partnerships with industry leaders, Edison at first was working independently, but later he decided for the collaboration with big companies because he had small resources to go at it alone, and he went on developing and inventing products. Also, the inventor was credited as the first inventor to amalgamate the mass production concept to the invention. With this, he created the industrial research laboratory that it was ever. He was also the first person to ever develop a distribution and generation system of electric power to resistance, industries, and business. And this was known as General Electric Corporation later in the years.
CONCLUSION
With the contribution of Edison innovation to the business, has significant importance, in that it has led to the emergence of the first industrial research, he also developed the first distribution and generation of power distribution to business, residence, and industries. We can see that it has helped in generating revenue for the government until now in this present year. It is also evident that with his entrepreneurial, innovative mind, he partnered with other companies that were big because he knew he didn’t have enough resources to go in alone. He has been an inspiration to me because of his entrepreneurial creativity.
