Course Expectations
Basing on the course of the objective of this course, I am looking forward to learning about the application of statistics in real-life situations. Hence, using statistics in making critical decisions that may be directly or indirectly affecting my position in a particular issue. Therefore, being able to use various aspects of statistics in making decisions while at work and while achieving multiple goals of my life. Moreover, using statistics in building my career by helping a different organization in coming up with a decision that will enhance their growth.
First, this course will be vital in educating me on various ways of using hypothesis in helping me to make crucial decisions. Hence, using assumption at my career level in making decisions about the job I will be doing and being able to differentiate and apply the use of null and alternative hypotheses in decision making. Also, being able to understand how to collect data that will be key to the testing hypothesis.
Second, getting knowledge on how to use regression analysis in making a critical decision in my day to day activities while at work and home. Moreover, the knowledge gain will be essential in helping me differentiate between independent and dependent variables. Thus, leading to well though the decision about a particular problem. Also, I will be able to understand ways in which to collect data to be used in decisions made through regression analysis.
Third, I will have the opportunity to gain knowledge on how the use of a confidence interval can be critical in decision making. Hence, being able to know how to calculate the confidence interval and its impact on making decisions in a real-life situation, whenever a problem arises.
In conclusion, studying various aspects of statistics will be vital in gaining knowledge on how to present data using statistical methods. Moreover, being able to differentiate between the most effective and non-effective means of data presentation that may be key to decision making.
