CRITICAL ACADEMIC REFLECTIVE.

Introduction.

The digital market has grown globally, and hence, there is a need to be well acquainted with the growth in the current technology world and especially connectivity between one individual to the next. At the current tenure, people are more connected through virtually then in-person to person connection. The LRNT 521, builds an individual intellectually and in the technology wise. (Vasylieva, L. (2016). It helps to cultivate the online presence and also enhances the process of building connection Networks such as twitter accounts, facebook account, and other LinkedIn network platforms connectivity. ( Abdillah, L. A. (2017).

LRNT 521 progress.

In the first activity on the virtual symposium, I had an opportunity to watch the various virtual seminar. The one that captured my attention the one on the “stories from the field.” In the stories, I encountered life-altering revelation that was also applicable in my work station. The concept of developing a virtual team was and is still a milestone of achievement. ( Vasylieva, L. (2016). The use of online platforms to enhance communication is vital. The symposium also enlightened that the process of developing a virtual team is useless if there is a good relationship between the team members. Developing the platform, I had to consider factors such as the values, one on one communication, and other factors that may influence human interaction. The program is a success because, despite the geographic orientation, the virtual team ensures that individuals remain in excellent communication.

There is a limitation to the “Virtual Team” since the virtual team has no leadership authority. There is no emphasis on leaders who are focused and propelled by the need to achieve. The virtual team member has to cultivate different value and virtues such as love and trust to avoid the conflicts within the team. Therefore, in “Virtual Team,” we had to limit our discussion and analysis on points that do not cause conflict.

The most interesting topic during the virtual symposium was on the “developing connections and enhancing the community learning.” The two topics are capture in my linkedin accounts. I have effortlessly worked to achieve increased connections and also developing an online platform that is accommodative to all. Dyck, during his lectures, suggested that different people interact differently in the online platform. This was an eye-opener since there is a niche to developing online connection network that enables interaction with different people with diverse ideas. ( Abdillah, L. A. (2017).

Dyck’s concepts were so illuminating. In one of the talks, he intones that there is a vital need to develop relation connection. She retaliates that there is need to build psychological safety online platform. For individuals to interact productively, there is an essential need when people get to understand each other’s fears, motivation factors, objective, personality, and other factors enabling buildup of confidence in each other. ( G.Dyke. (, 2017).

In one occasion, I had an encounter with online film editors who meet once a month given team building. The online platform has enabled them to form a bond, and this helped me to rethink the online identity and connectivity. There is another forum that is channeled in the job posting. Different people post job opportunity and also others scouting for a job visit the forum. This was a brilliant idea, and even in my expedition in creating an online platform, I had to invest in this idea.

The symposium rejuvenated me since my daily activities involves working in ensuring that there is consistent coherence between the learner and instructor by providing the instruction process remains standard. The symposium was an activity that I cant take lightly. The course is propelled in making me a better instructor and also ensuring online connectivity.

Visitor and resident typology map.

In Dave White video on visitor resident typology, it hit me about the differences between a resident and visitor about the presence in social media. About Dave’s video, a “visitor” has very little presence online while a resident spends most of his or her time online. My daily routine, am always involved in the online platform interacting with my learners be it in answering questions, messaging, researching on different topics or creating and brainstorming with other individuals in building cohesive media spaces.

The shift in more interactive technology has enabled most visitors to become residents. For example, Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp platforms are major contributors to online presence. People not only engage online during messaging and interacting with friends, but these forums have been engineered creatively to conduct also the business. (Torres, R. (2011

There is also a challenging that is becoming evident in safeguarding young children from being exposed to harmful content. Different platforms, such as Instagram have different content being posted. There is a need to establish measures on protecting children from toxic online exposure.

Cornier ‘s lectures emphasizes on the need for open social media spaces for education purposes. This poses both a challenge and an opportunity. In my online presence entanglement, I have always had the vision to develop a forum where instructors and learners would come together and interact productively. The blog has to be focused on ensuring that there is a productive relationship between learners, instructors, and the relevant materials being posted in the Forum. (G.Dyke. (, 2017). This is a challenge because so content being delivered to learners may not be accurate or at some instances, be harmful in the moral buildup of an individual.

Digital identity and presence plan.

MALAT course initiates an individual to focus on increasing their relevance on being in social media. In building up my online presence and identity, I have to build up more connection on the media network. The growth on the internet has enabled the achievement of great goals. The interactions and relationships between people have been greatly improved. Tapping to this advantages, I am motivated to creating online media forum (Media HUB) at my workplace where learners and instructors can have an opportunity to interact and make great achievements. ( Chandra, A. (2016)

Development of Media HUB.

My background in IT and the media platform has played a vital role in motivating me to always look forward to having an online platform the engages different parties in sharing of information. Due to the nature of my daily work, I have become an online residence. This has propelled me to discover a niche in the media network. In my workplace, I oftenly interact with learners and other experts for different reasons. (Torres, R. (2011)This left me questioning on the need to have an online platform that allows instructors, learners, and other digital industry experts to interact, connect and share information regarding the growth in technology and also media.

In enhancing digital presence and identity, I plan to create a media HUB at my workplace, which allows productive interaction on technology and media. The platform will not only be a source of information, but it will also convert the majority of learners and the industry experts to residents in the media platform. Consequently, this enhances growth in media.

Challenges in developing the media HUB.

The media HUB is a platform that aims at accommodating all people irrespective of their differences. In approaching this decision, I realized that, though being always using an online platform, I have a challenge in growing the media network. ( Gordon, A. (2016). There is still a challenge in how to ensure that the information being shared in the media platform. Through Facebook and my twitter accounts, I have come to realize how sensitive the online platforms have become over the years, and hence I also encountered the difficulty on how to protect the consumers from misleading content.

Objectives I aim to achieve.

Running my associated podcast stories.

Establishment of a digital journal to keep a record on my progress and contribution on the media platform.

I am motivating more people on digital presence at workplace and online platform.

Sharing of learning materials on my LinkedIn account to help improve its interaction.

Strategies engineered for the achievement of the objectives.

I am focused on developing the Media HUB by revamping my accounts profiles, twitter, and LinkedIn accounts. I plan to ensure that the media networks are interactive and also-also education on its foreground. Interacting with learners and other media experts has elevated a realization that there is a thirst to offer interactive online forums that offer educational materials and also allows interaction with instructors and other media experts.

I also plan to develop a .com and .ca website given promoting digital identity and presence. The sites will help me improve my soft skills in communication and discussion with people with similar goals. This would adversely help me in building my media network since more experts who visit the sites would offer extensive information on digital media and networking.

I also would work in developing tools that measure my presence and also of others and the contribution towards digital presence. The accounts are also goal oriented at ensuring that the necessary information is passed along and also offering interactions between learners, colleagues and also other experts.

Visual network mapping.

The information in visual system mapping has improved my aptitudes in availability on the media stage. Preceding the course, I, however, being a regular client of various media stage, I understood I had not posted anything since the year 2015. In spite of the fact that was working in a field that includes IT, I have generally utilized my online associations as a business stage or connection and individual advancement for what it’s worth in my LinkedIn account. ( Chandra, A. (2016). I have a hundred and three association dominant part being from work, and some were professionals. I centered on improving the connection and interactions in my LinkedIn accounts. I had to adjust my profile given, increasing my presence in the online platform and especially the interaction with my network. Using Kumu, a platform that enables individuals to learn about the relationship in an online platform, I had to change some parameters, and now the account is user interactive, appealing, and friendly.

In one of his lectures, Valentino says that “network are organization structures and may exist within a digital learning environment.” Having this motivation, my platform was on the go in support of the acquisition of knowledge and information through enhancing the network.

Impacts of networks and online communities on

society, structures, and other environments.

Networking has diversely impacted the different culture differently. To some, it has been positive since even though people sharing the same cultures are away from each other, they can still have an opportunity to share and develop their cultures. Alternatively, the online community, to some extent, have led to eradication on the much emphasis that was put on society and culture. Currently, the platform engages everyone irrespective of culture or society.

The rise of innovation has affected how I get to data. Perusing the materials for this assignment has helped me understand the sort of effect structures have on my online nearness. Veletsianos states that “The expanding plenitude of an unreservedly accessible educational module, addresses, and data as writings, recordings, and sight and sound on the Internet has empowered students to get to a wide cluster of amazing substance” (2016, p. 250). This is valid for my situation, as I take a preferred position of this top-notch content consistently to better my comprehension of work-related points, diversions, and individual interests. Portable innovation applications additionally make adapting very available. With my bustling calendar, I am ready to get to data whenever, at any given area. (Gordon, A. (2016).

Conclusion.

There are adverse benefits that accrue in association on the online platform. There is a need to motivate more people to be associated with online platforms. ( Abdillah, L. A. (2017). In my goals, I am at developing a different platform that would enhance networking and consequently improve online communities and digital presence.
