Data visualization can be referred to as the way of representing data in graphic format, which is in pictorial form. There are various new ways that I would like to see data visualization utilized in the future. The first way that I would like to see data visualization utilized in the future is by providing truthful information. The physical environment is continually changing, and this implies that more data needs to be visualized for the purposes of decision making. In this regard, it implies that giving a true information about data will greatly assist in the data visualization process.
The second way in which data visualization may be utilized in the future is collecting all the available evidence and trying to put it in one picture for individuals to easily get the point out of it. Representing data in graphic form speaks a lot just in one picture. This gives the importance to consider looking for the required evidence that supports what is being presented in the pictorial format. By doing this, it will create trust among the individuals who may come across it. In this regard also, giving evidence encourages individuals to know more about a particular concept and belief in what is true. The future of data visualization can be, in simple terms, said to rely on the empirical data and the real facts that one can see.
There are various reasons that I chose the above two ideas that data visualization should look like in the future. The first one is that people in the physical environment are relying on the truthful information, and desire to follow what seems to be more right in their eyes. In this world, every individual belief in something which he/she sees to be true, and hence no one can deviate such a person from what he/she beliefs in. This can also be understood from the Biblical viewpoint. The Bible clearly states that, yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was also able to perform (Romans 4:20-21). From this scripture, one has total faith and beliefs in God that He performs and provides. It is, therefore, very hard to lie to such a person to something he/she already knows the truth, but only one can do to give the truthful information as presented above.
The second reason is that there is an increasing need to account for what has been visually represented. Apart from just representing the truthful facts, there is needed to make the person who doesn’t have information about a particular fact to get it well. In doing so, the future should rely on evidence of the available data visualizations. This will include something that an individual can see physically. This is also clearly explained in the Bible, in the context where Jesus was being tempted by Satan. It was stated, Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory (Matthew 4:8). In this essence, the devil used what Jesus would see, promising to own it all so as to win His attention. This can well be described in the future of data visualization, where individuals need to presents evidence so as to persuade the target audience to believe in what they are representing.
