Day 3 of Prayer & Fasting

PRAYING FOR YOURSELF:

Know that you are the greatest asset in the hands of God. In Ezekiel 22: 30 says that God was looking for a man to stand in the gap. Many things were happening in Israel at the time, and God wanted someone to pray that it may not be destroyed.

Some families need only one person; some cities need only one man or woman of God; the same is the case for our nation. One person standing in the gap can change the destiny of a place.

However, we must allow God to deliver us. Otherwise, we cant bring deliverance in our cities or families. God wants to use us in great ways, but He must first transform us into the vessels that He would want to use.

Isaiah 1 speaks of Uzziah’s death and how Isaiah repents knowing that he dwelt in a place with people with unclean lips. Once God sanctifies him, He can use him to fulfill his purpose.

Things to pray for ourselves in life:

  1. HEALING

Repentance is the foundation of healing. The word says that God forgives our sins and heals all our illnesses. God forgives and brings healing (Psalm 103). The healing, in this case, is not only physical, because one of the greatest sicknesses of man is sin. Sin leads to death, and people do not fear sin as much as they do sicknesses such as COVID 19.

One of the problems that we need to sanitize our lives is sin by the blood of Jesus. We can ask God to heal our lives and hearts. We have been through pain, but that is life. Jesus said that in this life, we would face troubles, and these troubles can deform our hearts.

Proverbs 4:23 says to guide our hearts because that’s where the issues of our lives come from.

We should also pray that God may heal our finances and establish the work of our hands. In 2 Kings 2:19, Elisha went to an unproductive land, but there was healing when he prayed. We can pray for the healing of our families, our children, our relationships, our gifts. Our call has caused us to go through a lot of problems, and suffer, but God can heal us so that our gifts can pave the way for us so that one day we can sit among kings.

God does not have the intention of us going through afflictions that we become casualties of the call of God upon our lives. We may go through some afflictions to make us strong and refine us so that we will emerge winners and as refined as pure goals.

We need healing in many areas of our lives. 2 Chronicles 7:14 talks of God healing the land (where we live, work, career, business, place of productivity). The healing that God refers to in this place covers all the areas of a person’s life.

Healing is not limited to the physical. It also touches our destiny, because the greatest battle we fight is that of our destinies. The enemy oppressed the man at the tombs in Mark 5 because of his destiny, but when Jesus delivered him, he went to ten cities declaring the works of God.

Others need the healing of their souls. They have suffered rejection and suffer from low self-esteem. They do not believe that they can do great things. Pray that God will heal your soul, and you will see HIM restore your self-confidence.

Some areas in your life may be great, but others are ailing. You may be operating a successful business, but your marriage is failing. God can make you whole. Go to God and pray for him to heal these other areas that need healing, as you thank HIM for the areas in which He had given you victory. The ten lepers healed by Jesus went, but only one came to give thanks, and because of his grateful heart, he was made WHOLE.

Let’s be real. Let’s not walk around in masks pretending to be okay while we have areas in which the devil has imprisoned us. David prays that God will set him free from his prison that he may praise HIM.

Isaiah 42:22 talks of people who have been plundered, in pits, and prisons. The enemy can imprison you in prison, and you must ask God to set you free from the captivity of that sin. Jesus, in John 8:31, tells the Jews who believed in him that he who sins is a slave to sin. We may have been forgiven after repenting, but some of us remain enslaved by that sin.

  1. PRAY TO BE SET FREE FROM CAPTIVITY

Many of us find ourselves enslaved in sins of lust, immorality, lying, sickness, debts, poverty, etc. When God sets us free, we are free to go and wage war against the enemy.

The word of God says that “He who the Son sets free is free indeed.” God is a Breaker of gates of bronze and can set us free from all spiritual prisons. The enemy may have set boundaries in our lives so that there are some limits that we cannot go beyond. A prisoner, even with the ability to own a car, cannot drive one. May God open all prison doors in our lives, in our calling, finances, ministry, refuse to continue living in limitation.

Where others in our families did not enter, we will enter, because Jesus said that He shall build his temple and the gates of hades shall not prevail. May God set us free from our prisons. The psalmist says, “Lift ye gates that the King of Glory may come in.” May every gates and limitation put by the enemy lift that the King of righteousness may come in.

  1. TRUE PRAYER MEANS TRUE POWER

We need the true power of God to become victorious in life.
Ephesians 3:20 teaches that God does not do things in our lives based on his power, but according to HIS power, which we have allowed into our lives.

This is the power that helps us do anything in life. God can do immeasurably greater than we can imagine or pray, like Peter. He could pass by people who were sick, and his shadow made them whole.

This is the kind of power we need to impact the world. God has power, but we should allow his great power into our lives. We can do nothing without the power of God, and also, our level of power depends on the power of God that we carry.

We can make a lot of noise, but we should understand that we cannot make things happen without allowing the power of God into our lives. May our spiritual cup that carries the power of God be filled. The filling of this cup will make us unstoppable.

There are many powers at work in the world we are currently living in., the powers of the kingdom of darkness, where the devil is working day and night to derail us. If we do not have the power of God, we will never move forward.

We can do nothing, as Paul said, that he did not do anything on his own, but because of the power of God that was working inside him. We will be waging war against the enemy, and we cannot go to the battlefield without the power of God.

The word of God says to “be strong in the Lord, and the Power of his Might.” We need this power to overcome the powers and principalities and the rulers of this dark world. We may feel weak on the outside due to fasting, but we receive strength in our inner man. Jesus, after his 40 days fast said that the Holy Spirit is upon him, having anointed him with power to set the captives free, heal the brokenhearted, and restore sight to the blind. May God fill us with HIS power. I am hungry for more of God’s power, for the filling of the Holy Spirit. May God fill our cup. We need God’s power because, without it, the devil will hinder us from possessing our inheritance.

We need to increase; we need strength, we need power, to possess the inheritance that God has for us.

God can use you as an individual. He does not need an army. He needs you prepared to wage war and move.

  1. RELEASE DORMANT POTENTIAL

There is more in you than you have imagined than you have ever manifested. There is this treasure in JARS of CLAY. Our potential is trapped inside us, and we cannot manifest or release it until the power of God comes upon us.

Take, for instance, some apps on your phone that can only be activated when you are connected to Wi-Fi. Samuel tells Saul of God’s plan to making him king. Saul did not believe that he could be a king considering his lineage. But God had decided to make him king because God had put in him the potential to be a King of Israel.

Samuel tells Saul that “the Spirit of God will come upon him,” and would make him a different. When the spirit fell on Saul, he prophesied, and people wondered if he had become one of the prophets. However, the power had come upon him to help release the potential that was hidden inside him.

Peter was afraid before receiving the power of the Holy Spirit, he even denied having been with Jesus, but when the Holy Spirit falls on him, he preaches, and 3000 people get born again. A huge tree is trapped in a small seed, but when the seed is put in a conducive environment, the tree comes out. Some of us can be surprised by what we can do if we received the Power of the Holy Ghost.

MAY GOD RELEASE SUCH POWER UPON OUR LIVES?

Once we surrender to God, He can use us according to his will. God gives us the ability to make wealth, to do great things. Refuse to be a victim of circumstances, unemployment, allow God into your life. Surrender that God may cause things to work inside you for good. We carry power, lead, prophecy, healing, do great things. Allow the healing power of God, and do not wallow in self-pity.

God can use you if you surrender. May every form of bondage break.

Isaiah 58 speaks of the fasting that He has chosen to break the yoke and set the captives free. Let every yoke break, every oppression of the enemy, over your life, calling, ministry, every area of your life break.

Let there be a shift, into the supernatural, into the spirit realm. The letter profiteth nothing, but the spirit gives life.

May God give us Grace to intercede for ourselves. We should love others as we love ourselves. When we are delivered, we receive the power to deliver others. If we can live the kind of lives that God purposed for us to do, we will want to help others fulfill their purpose.

LET THE ENEMY VOMIT EVERYTHING THAT CONCERNS MY LIFE THAT HE HAS TAKEN. LET HIM RELEASE EVERYTHING THAT IS MINE.

IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS

2 Timothy 2:20

Desire to be a vessel of honor, to be used to fulfill the purpose of the master. Cleanse yourself and become a vessel of honor, being used to do the will of the Master. Do not only serve but also do so with honor. Do things that make the world see God in your life.

May God make us vessels of honor, in everything that we do, financing HIS work, praying for the healing of brethren, worshipping God with all of our hearts, preaching the word of God in a way that honors God.

Refuse to lead an ordinary life, be a vessel of honor. Don’t be any other business owner. Pray that God will make you a vessel of honor, anointed, with a revelation, with the power to do great things, highly favored.

God is preparing gifts of the Holy Spirit that some of us have not seen. These are for us, the church of the latter days. There are dimensions of the anointing that God plans to release to us. May we be partakers May we be the people who bring deliverance in the world today.
