Dear Professor Kang-Suh,
I like writing in English because I can express myself in a language that all my classmates and instructors can understand. Also, I prefer English because I like learning how to perfect my writing skills using the language.
I prefer stories and journals. Stories allow me to improve my creativity. They also help me improve critical thinking since they require me to create new ideas. On the other hand, journals help me keep a record of my experiences. That way, I can track different events and activities in classwork and my daily life.
The first step to take when I have a new assignment is to read the instructions. From the instructions, I create an outline or checklist of the work. The outline helps me cover all the requirements of the instructor to score high marks. I then follow the outline to complete the assignment. Once done, I use the checklist to ensure that all the requirements are covered in my assignment and submit my work.
My biggest challenge in writing is learning and using new vocabulary. Some of the wording in the English language is very hard for me. However, I enjoy researching, and this has helped me find ways of overcoming the challenge. My strength is creativity and following instructions. I use my imagination to make sure my writing assignments are of high quality. I also adhere to all instructions to ensure I get high grades. These strengths have helped me achieve good grades in the previous semesters.
My writing goal for this semester is to venture into new types of writing. I hope to write memos and poetry to improve my writing skills. I also hope to read more literature to improve my vocabulary in the English language.
Sincerely,
