Design 1 Mother’s day gift basket
The first brand is a design that represents an advertisement for the sale of a mother’s day gift package. The plan includes a mixture of bold and bright colours including yellow, orange, pink among others to create dominance of the essential fonts and forms including the image of the colourful, eye-catching basket, and the company’s catch statement “pick fruit, its fresher.” It also includes a mixture of typefaces; apart from the forms, there are different brightly coloured types used in the baskets written “Happy mothers’ day.” The right side of the design also includes letters of different fonts beginning from the bold sentence case and the upper case letters for the entry code. The graphics used, such as the basket of hearts and treats, are appealing and serve as the perfect treat for mother’s day. The advertisement has an appropriately arranged composition that occupies adequate space and uses design elements effectively. The fonts and parts complement each other, for instance; bold colours create dominance of the critical factors in the composition. There was visual hierarchy used in the design, both essential elements on the right and left are balanced; the fonts and graphics element in the left and the types on the right complement each other.
Design 2 Snapple Peach tea drink
The second brand is a design that represents an advertisement for peach tea drink. The colors used for the graphic elements camouflage with the red-brown background. It also includes a mixture of typefaces including serif upper case letter for the brand’s catch statement and the products name. Different fonts of different colors and sizes are used in the center image. The graphic is most bold and dominant part of the design that covers over half of the page. It includes the picture of the bottle, the peach fruit, and tea leaves. The design effectively uses the space and places the design elements appropriately in the composition. However, it lacked a distinction between the background and the details due to the use of camouflage. Visual hierarchy is visible from the creative arrangement of fonts and elements in the composition; the items at the centrepiece are dominant.
