Having such a scenario, I would first inform the technical department on the information technology part to take a control measure to ensure that the vector does not affect the storage systems much. The first person to notify in the organization is the IT manager in the organization. He is the one concerned with all the computer systems in the organization so that he can act upon the matter as soon as possible to prevent much damage.
The organization will get into the computer systems and look at all the information in the computer to ensure that there is no virus or vector, which may damage the data stored. Focusing on identifying the vector, the IT department will look into the machine in which the SD was inserted and try to evaluate the level of damage that the vector has caused to the computer. All the devices used in storing information such as laptops, desktops, and tablets used in the organization are in a significant threat of being infected and thereby losing the information or distorting it.
In response to the incidence, the management should place a notice warning the application of personal devices in any task related to the organization. In preventing such an incident from occurring in the future, the organization has to provide enough tools to the employees and prohibit the application of personal devices at any time in the organization. The current situation is that the organization does not have the training to prevent this. Therefore training will be the first action to take to prevent further occurrence of the same incidence. The policies in place will apply to all the storage devices in the organization.
