Ecological Footprint

Question One

Different aspects of my lifestyle were taken into consideration, including how I engage in consuming natural resources.  The quiz gave me a chance to analyze how I manage my day to day activities by looking at what extent I go when relating to ecological balance. My consumer behaviors were taken into consideration based on the actions I take to make my life fulfilling. These were characterized by an assumption made on the ecological lifestyle that looked at my ability to exercise environment consciousness, selection and recycling of products, and my engagement in protecting the environment.  Engagement in the use of natural resources in materials and energy sources were also considered, which defined my sustainability.  My needs in the use of these resources were as well evaluated by defining the natural habitat and what extent they help in my survival.

Question Two

The data input was precise, given that I had various options to choose from. This gave me an opportunity to provide accurate results on my ecological lifestyle.  With this belief, I believe that this had a direct impact on my results as I was able to analyze different options available and select what I believe defined my lifestyle well. The use of images also came in handy as I understood what form of data input I was supposed to provide for the footprint. The numerical computations were also provided in the form of percentages that were compiled to help in providing better representation of my lifestyle. A number of aspects were incorporated by the use of categories and graphical representations, which impacted my results as it simplified my lifestyle report in categories that explored my overall data.

Question Three

My biggest surprise in the ecological footprint was when I discovered my carbon footprint, which indicated that I have an emission of 19% of carbon dioxide, which is released in tonnes every year.  The carbon footprint made me realizes that these emissions compete and compare on the planet with other humans. This involves the demands that exist on the planet earth, such as the use of timber, foods, and the lands we dwell in and roads. I was also familiarized that climatic changes occur due to the lifestyle we lead in our homes, and everywhere we go. The ecological footprint also worked to help me identify some of the threats we put in our environment by the lives we lead. Factors such as the use of cars, rapid extinction of certain species, and misuse of land are among the factors that affect our ability to maintain an ecological balance.

Question Four

My results changed on both the second and third attempts after making the necessary adjustments. The attempts indicated that with a better lifestyle, the overall results would change. When I pretended to be perfect, the second attempt involved a combination of forces that presented an ecological footprint that balanced all the biosphere demands.  The third attempt was also a success in incorporating “doable” elements that change the result by indicating the capacity in which adjustments in our lifestyle would mean to the environment and the use of natural resources. For instance, adapting to the use of renewable energy was one of the factors I realized contributed a lot to the ecological balance.  I also acknowledged that the footprints play a critical role in defining the impact of humans on the planet. The adjustments contributed a lot n indicating what local leaders and individuals can take to measure the available ecological assets available and distribute it evenly to produce more natural resources.

Population Thread

United States of America

The United States of America is one of the highly developed countries in the world that has as well been experiencing a change in its growth trends over the past and the present years. In 1995, the country recorded a total of 255,163,741, which was followed by an increase in the number in 2020, where the pyramid indicated a total of 331,002,647. This increase has been caused by natural causes that result from the differences that exist between the number of deaths and deaths in the countries.  International migration has as well been on the rise contributing to an increase in the growth rate. This rate is as well expected to increase in 2045  to  373,343,356 due to an increase in the number of immigrants in the country.

Pakistan

Pakistan has a distributed growth trend that has been fluctuating in the 5-year age classes. The country has had a greater male population as compared to the female population.  In 1995, the population was 123,776,835, in 2020 the population increased to 220,892,331 and in 2045 the number is expected to rise even further to 320,723,649.  Some of the forces are expected to a high fertility rate, cases of early marriages, declining mortality rate, and high infant mortality.  These forces have been the causes behind the high population rise in the country despite its deprived resources.
