Education Domains
Domains
The idea of school culture explored in Domain 1 in the second competency; it conforms with Michael Fullan’s idea on the driver’s whole system. The video talks about the core goals of a school fraternity, which principals should emulate. Firstly, the principals should emulate the main role of building effective leadership, which fosters inspiration, teamwork, inclusivity of students and teachers, and effecting consistency (Fullam, 2012). The school culture aligns with the competency as the principles should be adhered to by all principals within the stem to develop a culture that should be followed who guide the various institutions. The domain also addresses the pint of the educational, cultural focus of increasing the rate of parent involvement and all the shareholders in decision meaning and other operational factors within the institutional meetings. Hence, Domain 1 aligns with competency 002 in the exploration of culture in schools and its involvement of parents and other shareholders within the educational facilities and all the meetings involved.
Domain 2 addresses the idea of National Risk, which is based on the concept of school performance versus school expenses. The idea aligns with the second domain, specifically competency 003. Competency is aimed at ensuring a chance within the education system. Hence, the idea presented of the video addressing the implementations which took place thirty years ago aligns with the changes explored in the domain (The Education Gadfly, 2013). The school should be assessed based on their excellency, achievements, and results, which proves its hard work and competency. Previously, schools were assessed in consideration of their expenses and the money spend on their operations. However, the changes established new changes which now deals with the school results and their achievements to come up with the recommended setting and level of the institutions. The idea is aimed at promoting both the students and the institution as well through promoting the core values and goals of the education centers and the objectives of the students.
The concept of classroom improvement and promotion of teachers are addressed in domain 4, in competency 008. The domain discusses the importance of principals who serve as mediators and prepares the strategies teachers should take for the incorporation of both students and teachers for promotions (Lierman, 2012). The meetings help should help in fostering improvements through training and budget preparations, which all lie in the principal role of the leadership executive. Similarly, the idea explored in the School turnabout video aligns with the concept in the domain based on the strategies enacted. The video analyzes the importance of school turnabouts by use of the available human resources and contributive labor such as the school leaders, the 100 states, among others. The concerned invitees would help in the assessment and evaluation of school procedures and promote effective decision-making planning, which contributes to the success of both the institution, teachers, and students. The also aligns with the fifth domain, which addresses equity and diversity in relation to the 010 competency, which explores the importance of leadership and competency.
Tony Wagner’s idea about the transformation of leadership also explores a similar idea with the fourth domain competency 006. The ideas are based on the transformation and translation of the education system to fit the current expectations (Wagner, 2012). The purpose is accomplished by the consistent improvement of the teaching strategies and guidance of educators in developing modern teaching goals. The domain also addresses the importance of selecting new interviewees, revision of the existing staff and their accomplishments, and studying the personnel turnover.
