Elements of attitude
Attitude plays a significant role in the life of human beings. Moreover, this phenomenon illustrates the psychological tendency which makes an individual or a group of individuals view a particular object or behaviour either positively or negatively. Additionally, attitudes develop from the individual through a process known as individual subjective assessment. Moreover, this phenomenon influences various components of approaches which include the cognitive components, the effective constituent and the behavioural element.
The cognitive component of the attitude identifies the beliefs that people have about something, someone or a situation. For example, when I say that I love using Aerial Washing Powder, this is the cognitive component of my attitude towards that product (Wisdomjobs.com). Moreover, this phenomenon can represent the evaluation of beliefs or an element that describes individuals’ perceptions about something. For this case, when an individual has an attitude to something, it is hard to recognize such issues. On the other hand, the cognitive element sets the stage for superior forms of a reaction.
Another element of attitude which I have experienced includes the affective component. This phenomenon entails personal feelings. For example, I was recently given a task in my neighbouring company where I was engaged in blowing of computer systems to ensure the cleanliness of the systems. By the end of the assignment, I believed that I would get paid for the work done only to enquire from the authority, and I was told that there was no expenditure of that kind that was recognized by the authorities. Additionally, the behavioural component of attitude forms the most significant part of this element. It demonstrates the conduct of an individual which occurs due to the feelings that an individual has towards something (Wisdomjobs.com). This phenomenon also refers to the behaviours that an individual has towards someone else. For example, when a person clicks when they meet someone with their debt, this element is illustrated in that simple act of clicking.
My attitude towards Ariel washing powder changed as a result of refutation. This aspect is due to a seminar I attended where a newer product was demonstrated of how it would outdo the Aerial washing powder in the market. Moreover, the representation of this aspect became more understood, and I came to realize that the product was the best, and since then, I began using the Star Soft as a result of the new ideas.
After working, it is the nature of every human being to expect appreciation of any kind. Moreover, my attitude towards the company which refused to pay me for the work I did change through persuasion. This aspect means that after a long period discussing the issues with most of my friends, I realized that I was slowly taking heed to their word, and I later wholly forgot. Additionally, the notion about the individuals I had worked for before but refused to pay me my cash to the extent that whenever we met, I found myself overwhelmed by internal anger and clicked. However, recently I worked through various interventions to kick away that notion in me, and I can see it is now working well. Even after so many years with the anger in me, I could manage the situation. However, the method I applied at this juncture involves the logos formulae (Alan). Through listening to several of my colleagues, they encouraged me a lot and tried to show me how best I would have overcome the situation. Some told me that forgiving and forgetting is the best rule for such kind of people.
