The employees should be satisfied to ensure success in attaining the goals of a company. Management of an institution determines the depth of achievements in a given time where ineffectiveness fails. Employees are forced to leave their jobs due to various circumstances surrounding them but majorly because of bad management. When an employer doesn’t gain the trust of those under him, they question every decision and orders given to them. Employers think they have incompetent leaders; hence, they seek approval over every directive issued on their tasks. Again, any employer who is not recognized and appreciated feels demoralized to pursue any job. Lack of motivation kills the zeal and the energy to complete assignments that are given. Lack of motivation can shut every opportunity to grow and develop since your skills are not appreciated through a good salary or compensation and benefits. When workers in a company experience a common challenge, they join hands to cause strikes or defy direct orders from their superiors without caring about the consequences. Once again, they can leave their posts in office and choose to let a company fall terrible, leaving everything at stake and dormant. Each employee appreciates when his expertise and skills are used to the maximum. Workers feel underutilized; it is because a leader does not challenge them enough or stimulate their desire to work. Managers have different characters good or bad, so if they are wrong, they frustrate and cause fear to their juniors, making them unable to be open for the goodness of the company.

Leaders in a company hold a vital role in its progress and bearing of fruits; hence, they have their requirements to ensure success. Every leader is required to appreciate and notice the effort of each team member. Acknowledgment of efforts keep workers motivated and maintain their zeal to deliver a good outcome. However, when leaders do not treat workers equally, they cause division among them since the rules and regulations favor some of them and punish the rest. Leaders are encouraged to give tasks according to their experience, specialization, interest, and qualification to make them comfortable and allow them to perform to the best of their ability. Also, team leaders should be accessible to their juniors to make them feel engaged and part of the decision making. The involvement of the employees is for the greater good since it motivates them to work towards a common goal. Lastly, the work distribution should be fair enough in line with the pay workers earn at the end of the month to encourage them to do better each day.

Some recommendations can be adopted to maintain workers and increase the output in a more significant way which include;

  • The company is supposed to allocate an excellent salary and benefits to the workers to make them feel motivated and accepted in their workplace; hence they have no excuse to fail and perform poorly in their tasks.
  • The company should involve workers in their plans and decision making to make each one aware of the objectives and the goals of the organization to motivate them to work towards that.

In conclusion, every employee is entitled to a pleasant working environment. The leaders should listen to views and ideas by the employees to offer the best to grow and develop the organization.
