Entertainment
Entertainment comes in different forms, and people are attracted to different sports for that reason. Extreme sports are fascinating games for me. These adrenaline-rushing games lead to the imagination of the athlete’s experience, and it’s always fun watching them. Although it involves considerable risks and danger to one’s life since a slight mistake can have detrimental results, they are great sports when played by true masters who professionally understand the game. It is a highly profitable career and more satisfying if the player observes the necessary measures. Anyone willing to try these sports is always assured of my support as long as they are willing to learn and have confidence in their ability to master the sport.
Generally, all the goosebumps caused by most extreme sports are what make me love them. Such scenarios leave me with the desire to watch another game. During my free time, I enjoy surfing, snowboarding, skateboarding, ice climbing, BMX biking, cliff diving, street luging, and mountain biking, among others. However, I always have difficulties trying some of these games due to the fear of making a mistake and the reported injuries associated with these sports despite the fun I get when watching others play them. According to Sharma et al., 2015. pg. 4, there were over 4 million cases of injuries reported for seven extreme sports that were investigated between 2000 and 2011. Besides, 11.3 % of these cases were head and neck injuries. Such information always scares me from participating in such events.
My love for these sports was among the key factors that made me obey my parents in my childhood so that they could reward me by allowing me to watch sports programs on our television. However, with advancements in technology, things have changed, and everyone can access these sports on the internet. Thus, there is always an alternative to access, such content at any time and everywhere, as long as one has the devices connected to the internet. I usually spend most of my leisure, watching extreme sports movies. Sometimes, I visit different places with the sole purpose of witnessing people play such games.
