Essential III: Scholarship for Evidence-Based Practice
Introduction
According to Kristensen et al., (2016), health care research requires slow diffusion into the mainstream consideration into the treatment procedures. The health care workers should work to bridge the gap between the research conclusion period and the implementation of the results to improve the lives of patients. The health care workers should carry out and implement an evidence-based research and get implemented within an adequate period to solve the issues of the research group target, rather than waiting for over ten years to execute on a new group of patients. Such a scenario would render the research ineffective!
Article Review
Kristensen et al., (2016), argues that the health care team should take minimum period to implement results from specific medical research. Additionally, Melnyk (2016) outlines the benefits of implementing an evidence-based practice, which comprises improving patient outcomes, improving the health of populations, and reducing per capita of health healthcare in treating various diseases. The health care team should work together in a supportive environment where they can implement their medical skills to achieve a desirable outcome. The health care team should encourage effectively and on-time implementation of results from specific research to ensure that research proves resourceful and reliable. Timely implementation of research results also ensures that the health care team gets to apply effective skills (Kristensen et al., 2016). On realization of research results, the research team must avail the results to all medical institutions through channels, which ensure clear communication and active dissemination through easy-to-understand formats to increase awareness, consideration, adoption, and implementation of results (p. 2).
