I agree with you that ethical dilemma requires practical reasoning to solve a problem at hand in the most intelligent and safe way. I dilemma is when one is required to make a difficult choice out of several alternatives which are equally undesirable (Knapp, Gottlieb, Handelsman & American Psychological Association, 2015). Euthanasia and assisted suicide are the most difficult things to and are some of the challenges nurses face daily. From the Biblical point of view, life needs to be respected, and killing is a sin though sometimes patients presented to the hospital may never recover, go through a lot of pain and to some extent, their family may need the nurse to commit assisted suicide so that to relieve the patient’s pain and save money since the patient will not survive. In such a situation, nurses can find it hard to make the right decision, especially if they are Christians or God-fearing. I consider ethical care as an option, where the healthcare provider may make a decision based on his/her consciousness and will since some situations need professionalism to avoid regrets that may cause depression. Ethical care concept needs to be revised indeed.
