Example of organizational change
I once worked for Walmart, and one of the organizational changes was technological. The change in operational and sales system for the whole firm is going an analog to digital. It is essential that this technological change impacted the company positively in making work efficient. According to Waddell et al., 2019 contend that change management is critical for promoting competitive advantage. The fact is that organizational change in this company enabled proper time management. Management has the mandate to ensure the smooth transition of analog to digital management type. It was hard for the employees to conform and integrate into the new system as everything was becoming technological. Resistance to change is one of the issues that is associated with new organizational change.

Response to Matthew McCorkel
Hello, I agree that many companies tend to fail in their first five years due to many reasons, which I think one of them is the inability to adapt to change. Technological changes like instore to online shopping is one of the changes that it is hard to adjust. It is essential to understand that organizational changes affect the progress of the company as it might make it fail or succeed. Thank you for sharing.
Discussion: implementing organizational change
Strategic Change versus Tactical Change approach is essential in organizational change as it ensures the best possible scenarios for the firm. The strategy mostly utilized through the adoption of extensive research, effective planning, and internal reflection. Strategy in a matter of change is considered long-term (Doherty & Hayes,2019). In comparison to rather short-term tactics. This type of action is much faster and usually sufficient for a fast-changing approach. Moreover, tactics typically used are based on the success of the strategy. In most cases, it is hard to adapt a strategy compared to developing a tactic. It is advisable that in an organizational change, the tactical approach is suitable for the success of the company.
