Governments should question whether they are ready to handle the long-term effects of COVID-19, considering the changes that have been encountered. Such includes global lock-down, a dip in the price of oil, a decrease in the annual GDP of most countries after analyzing the first quarter of 2020, and the continued deterioration of the pandemic(Joneset al). The Corona Virus’ economic impact has affected global shares and can have a possible effect on individuals’ pensions and savings accounts. There have been considerable falls in financial markets since the pandemic occurred because businesses have been on hold. Death tolls have been rising, and there is a reduction in money flow in different economies. The event should act as guidance for organizations to help them improve readiness for possible future events that are likely to affect the economy and other aspects of socio-economic wellbeing.
The article does not disconnect from the audience since it presents facts that the people can relate with and understand better because of the individual challenges across countries that are being experienced. It makes forecasts for the future based on statistical information to guide future economic decisions(Jones et al). The article aims to reach a broad audience without boundaries of race, ethnicity, or other differences since the issue is global, and the continuous rise of death tolls and infection figures is alarming. The background research that will be carried out will intend to investigate the measures in place to monitor the pandemic and control its spread while minimizing its effects. The study will also seek to understand whether political, religious, economic, and societal pressures arise because of the pandemic and find means of addressing it. The anticipated challenges in carrying out the rhetorical analysis include lack of concise information to make definite conclusions and lack of clear guidance on the topic since the pandemic is a relatively new and unexpected issue.
