Focus On The Family Organization

Introduction

Hi, I’m _____, and I’m going to talk about Focus On The Family organization. We all come from families and, therefore, this topic is relevant to all of us. Therefore, the ideals which the organization promotes are likely to bear a positive impact on all of us. It is necessary for us the understand the work of the organization with the need to establish the impact which it is likely to have on us. In this speech, I am going to inform you about the background of the organization. The background shall cover the history, mission and values of the organization. Firstly, let us talk about the history of the organization.

Body

The organization was founded in 1977 under the leadership of James Dobson, who served until 2003 (Focus On The Family, 2020). In 2003, Donald P. Hodel became the president of the organization, and Dobson became the chairman but, resigned from the organization in 2009. While the president of the organization, Hodel was keen to ensure that the organization left up to the goals which it had been established for. Essentially employees needed to identify with the outcomes which they had to create concerning boosting the activities of the organization. Through the process, it is highly likely that the employees focused on identifying the specific areas of focus which are generally important for the organization. They managed to establish the areas which they needed to put a lot of consideration on in a bid to scale up the quality of outcomes which were attained. Let us now talk about the mission of the organization.

Its mission is to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with as many as possible by nurturing and defending the God-ordained institution of the family and promoting biblical truths worldwide (Dobson, 2000). It aims to make families acknowledge the existence of God and Jesus Christ and live by the ideals of Christianity (Focus On The Family, 2020). Therefore, they are likely to apply Christian ideals to improve their situation and ensure that they manage to boost the qualities of their families. It is generally possible for them to showcase the specific areas which are important to them and, therefore, likely to create the best outcomes that are desirable for them. It provides diverse information to families in a bid to strengthen them and enable people to identify with the positive aspects which they stand to develop from the same. Where people identify with the positive aspects found within Christianity, they can adopt measures which are likely to create a more positive change. They can adopt measures which are essential in creating the necessary levels of positivity. Let us now talk about the values of the organization.

One of the values of Focus On The Family is the preeminence of evangelism. It aims to ensure that the necessary information is conveyed to people who need the same. Through the process, people can build on their entire aspect of the family. The approach is generally important in enabling them to focus on the positive elements which are drawn from the information which they share. Another value is the permanence of marriage (Focus On The Family, 2012). Therefore, people are likely to obtain the best from what marriages stand to offer. They identify with the fact that they need to make marriages more stable and, therefore, capable of working in their interest. Through the process, they attain the best outcomes which are deemed to be desirable for them.

The third value is the value of children. Therefore, people need to be interested in taking proper care of children. A fourth value is the sanctity of human life (Focus on the family, 2020). They need to pay close attention to the needs of children and ensure that the right methodologies are applied in a bid to improve their situation. Through the process, children are likely to grow up into worthy members of society. The organization also believes in the value of the importance of social responsibility. Therefore, people need to be more responsible in their communities and ensure that they are of significant value to others. There is also the value of the male and female (Dobson, 1982). Both the male and the female need to be given a chance to feel part of society. Through the process, they can relish in the recognition which they obtain from the society. They have the ease of having better interactions with one another. Through the process, they manage to focus on the positivity which they stand to obtain from the entire process.

Conclusion

In the speech, I talked about the background of Focus On The Family Organization. It was founded in 1977. Its mission is to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with as many as possible by nurturing and defending the God-ordained institution of the family and promoting biblical truths worldwide. Its values include; preeminence of evangelism, the permanence of marriage and value of children, among others. The organization is playing an impeccable role in society. It is interested in enabling people to identify with the ideals of Christianity. Through the process, they are bound to focus more on measures which create the best outcomes which could be deemed to be largely important. I believe that the organization will continue to live up to its billing in terms of meeting the needs of people and strengthening families. Where people identify with the positive aspects of the family around them, they can focus on living within the ideals which the organization has established. The organization is more likely to be of value to them.

It was an honor having your listening ear, and thank you very much.
