Foundation in Ethics
In healthcare, ethics deal with examinations of specific problems, mainly cases from clinics and the use of facts, logic, and values to decide on the right action to be taken. To qualify to be a medical professional, one should hold the responsibility to present oneself with the most significant ethical standards. These ethical standards help promote values that are important for proper communication, accountability, mutual respect, trust, and fairness in healthcare. In medical care, ethical standards such as privacy protection, confidentiality maintenance, and informed consent provide a grantee for the person with respect. I think it is essential to have a foundation in ethics when involved in healthcare; this paper discusses why it is necessary and how it is related to the core values of excellence.
Reasons for the foundation in ethics
Understanding and having a foundation in ethics in healthcare organization aids one in making critical ethical decisions. For decision made by a healthcare professional affects the quality of health and health of a patient; therefore, it is essential to develop a moral bottom line (Yip et al., 2016). First, as a person in the healthcare system, you should consider the community you come from and what expectations it has from you as a health professional. The community has an establishment on what is the right ethical behavior; hence, understanding the foundation of ethics in a community will stop a health care professional from undergoing through inevitable career setbacks. It is also important to understand normative ethics that challenge one to find the right morals and understand behavioral standards that are acceptable in an organization (Salloch et al., 2015). Since healthcare organizations have people with different ethics ideas, it is therefore essential for an organization to establish normative ethics because of its influence and power.
Relation to the core value of excellence
Core values are beliefs that are fundamental to an organization and mainly dictate the behavior of a person by helping them distinguish between right or wrong. The core value of excellence is accomplished when an organization makes the right decisions over and over. Moreover, the foundation in ethics leads to the core value of excellence. For a healthcare organization to excel, it should purpose to ethical decision making ways. Understanding professional ethics helps a healthcare specialist in identifying ethical behaviors expected of them. Besides, being aware of community, organizational, and theoretical ethics plays a significant role in daily decision making in the health care organization (Marseille & Kahn, 2019). These decisions affect both the patients and the employees positively hence leading to the excellence of the organization.

As a person practicing healthcare, it is essential to understand how the community around that organization views healthcare ethics and what is considered ethical and unethical. Understanding community ethical standards positively promote values of excellent communication between the health care organization and the members of the community hence aiding in the excellence of the organization. Therefore, it is always essential for a healthcare professional to have a foundation in ethics to build mutual respect and trust for the healthcare specialist and the patient. Lastly, having an ethics foundation is concerning having a core value of excellence.
