Gender and sports
Gender ideology is the individual belief towards what the roles of men and women should be.
Sex categories are male and female.
Gender is the relationship between men and women, as well as their roles.
Orthodox gender ideologies are the complementary concepts and beliefs connected with male and female sex categories.
Homophobia is the rationally developed anxiety or discrimination against homosexuals through statutory laws, bullying, or assault against homosexuals.
Budget constraints and privatization of sports is a substantial barrier towards gender equity. Notably, authorities subject gender equity towards significant budget cuts as compared to huge budget allocation destined towards male sporting activities. Further, budget cuts on female sporting activities increase their vulnerability since women have little income-generating channels as well as facilitation from other programs. On the other hand, male programs have a lower vulnerability due to their higher likelihood of attracting fans and donors towards facilitating their events.
Cutting public supported sports programs only encourages the development of private sports. Notably, public sponsored programs receive their facilitation from public taxes, and interrupting the programs affects females more than males. Interruption of public sporting activities only encourages sport privatization, which generally focuses on the market. Therefore, private plans are more likely to attract male sports due to their success in attracting fans and sponsors.
The resistance of government regulation by individual benefiting from male dominance also affects the implementation of gender equality. Notably, individuals against gender equality inhibit government interference in reporting programs by developing a notion that females are less attracted to sporting events than males. Further, individuals opposed to gender equality may accord little coverage to female sporting activities.
The small number of female representatives in policy-making positions is also a factor that inhibits the implementation of gender equality. Notably, in the past, female sporting activities were vibrant. However, males seeking to reveal and extend their influence in sports replaced women’s positions as coaches. Therefore, men could not effectively mentor women in their respective teams. Further, the small number of women serving as coaches is cautious about hiring male assistants to avoid losing their positions. The young female players also feel that leadership and power belong to men.
Additionally, society correlates women’s nature with body image. Notably, women participating in sporting events do not commit their full energy on the activities due to the notion that a woman has beauty and an attractive appearance. Further, the tendency to award beautiful women in sports rather than the performers discourages females from participating in sports.
According to the ESPN article on equal pay on women sporting activities, the WNTPA proposed suitable revenue sharing models that correspond to the teams’ amount. However, the proposals did not occur, and the matter resulted in women’s tennis players abandoning the groups. Further, other teams such as the united states women national team, the united states women hockey team and the and the women national basketball association resulted in a boycott.

The urgency of intersectionality describes the cartoon as racist based on the numerous cases of prejudice towards black people. The speaker talks of police brutality and stereotyping, which black is bound to encounter. Further, the speaker argues that a black person standing at the multiple paths of exclusion is likely to face either form of discrimination.
The cartoon’s controversy is that the publisher did not consider the painful history faced by African Americans. Further, the context of such an image is the increased likelihood through which it endorses bias and racism today. The image can also portray how women incorporate their emotions in the pitch a factor that strengthens the notion that women do not fit in sporting events
