This explains the reason why gender-responsive and gender-neutral approaches should be used. The sexual orientation of women and girls is different from that of men in that men often are sound-minded when doing something, unlike women who may be out of emotional influx.
The offender treatment programs will be the most effective interventions in human service if it focuses on offering services which are geared towards changing behavior. One of the services may include treatment for abuse and trauma, teaching the individuals life skills, providing education and vocation opportunities, among others, which would change the lives of the offenders.
There are two main target problems and behavior that the offender treatment program target. The first one is substance abuse, and the second one is an alternative to the typical practices. These include cognitive-behavioral skills development, which, when cultivated when would serve to reduce most of these problems and create stability. The factors that should not be targeted include the safety and the response to sexism of the individual as they may not be instrumental in determining the justice to the offender.
Appropriate innovations are those geared towards making the offender realize their mistake and lead them to change. Inappropriate interventions make the punishes the offenders so that they cannot repeat it. The appropriate intervention is the most effective because the person got to understand their behavior and changed willingly, unlike the inappropriate response in which the person would arrive at out of fear and may not change.
