Guiding Purpose Statement
God is the creator of the universe, and he has a purpose for each one of us. It is upon every person to understand their mission on this earth and live according to Christ’s teachings. The son of God Jesus Christ came to the world to lead people from sin and reconcile them with God. Therefore, calling ourselves as the sons of God demand that we live like Jesus Christ and take up his purpose of delivering people from sin and reconciling them with God. Pettit affirms that “our primary calling is the umbrella which we function as believers” (p.198). According to Psalms 119:11, God’s grace and understanding of the word are paramount to living in line with Christ’s teachings.
According to the book of Corinthians 3:5, our competence comes from God, and it is, therefore, vital to seek his guidance when determining your guiding purpose statement. Persistent prayer and meditating God’s word have played a significant role in understanding my primary and functional purposes. I am seeking to be an ambassador of Christ, and I am committed to becoming a counselor who can inspire and lead people to the ways of the lord.
Explain how this GPS will help your relationship with God and a specific person flourish.
My guiding purpose statement will help my relationship with God flourish since I will need his intervention often on the best ways to lead people towards him. A close relationship with God is a continuous bond propelled by constant communication and trust in the almighty. Having faith in God will positively impact my guiding purpose statement, as I will be confident enough when inspiring people to live according to Christ’s teachings. A deep relationship with God will lead to my mind and souls’ development while steering my guiding purpose statement’s goals. I am looking forward to reconciling many people with the ways of the lord.
Growing in Favor with God and Others
According to Luke 2:52, Jesus grew in favor with God and man, and that is what we as Christians should emulate. Growing in favor with God and others refers to having the right relationship with God, people, and the rest of creation. It requires God-given gifts and talents to live a fulfilling life in line with Christ’s teachings. Growing in favor with God and others requires individuals to understand their purpose on this earth and seek divine intervention to succeed.
To have a steady growth in God and others’ favor, I will require to understand my guiding purpose statement’s goals and objectives. I will also be required to embrace the four-phase story-tuning process and divine provisions like meaningful company, the body, and God’s spirit and word.
