HEATH CARE
The medical industry is slowly shifting and taking a new direction from what it used to be. With each passing day, new changes and better improvements are being witnessed in the medical sector thanks to more innovation and invention. On the other hand, the patients need more and better services that would lengthen their days and prevent frequent sickness. As a result of this increased demand, new players have emerged in the field, the health disruptors. As competitors to the medical industry, their actions are being felt as they strive to outperform the other team. The long-term medical personnel in health industries are getting worried as some of them are slowly ditching the industry to become the disruptors. The latest analysis indicates that more hospitals are trailing behind the disruptors regarding the issues of experience in the digital world. Disruptors are the organizations that aim at bringing new changes that are completely different in terms of delivery of healthcare. They are initiating better ways through new technologies that are different from how things were being done in the past. The health care industry are highly politicized and integrated and hence needs to come up with reforms.[1]
Some of these disruptors that have widely dominated the market include CVS, Apple and Amazon. The reforms initiated by these disruptors have shaped the medical world by ensuring the patients depend less on the hospitals and the response from the emergency services. Some of these disruptors have merged with their counterparts to ensure that their employees’ health is improved. On the other hand, the consumers have embraced these new changes, arguing that the healthcare industry is way too much regulated and politicized. On the other hand, disruptive disruptors focus on low cost on drugs, better insurance cover, and easier access.[2] Some of these reforms include; transforming the norms, improving the culture, embracing authenticity, improving networking, initiating new models.
Transforming the norms
The disruptors in the industry are not satisfied with how things are being carried out by medical healthcare. They do believe that other new changes should be adopted, especially by first changing the perception of the consumers. More often than not, they keep asking if things need to continue as they have been. Some of the disruptors like Amazon inquired the need of their employees to embrace the system that doesn’t bear any fruit and even why several Americans put aside the healthcare till when they have run out of time.
Improving the culture
It is not a secret that these disruptors are shaping our way of life for the better. Amazon is the frontline by adopting consumerism apart from striving to shift our focus on how we think of the healthcare system. The disruptors have always been rethinking how often things have been done and trying to reach many people at the same time.
Embracing authenticity
Invention and innovation are slow processes that are learnt as time goes by with better technology in place. One better way to earn trust from anyone is through being honest and transparent with them. The patients need to be sure that their health status is at better hands and that they have cared.[3] As a result, the healthcare disruptors are achieving this though being transparent in their policies and models. They deliver whatever they promise; hence most of them are gaining trust from consumers.
Improving networking
The disruptors are aware they cannot satisfy the needs of their consumers without making the necessary connections. As a result, they partner with some companies and medical practitioners to ensure they provide the best services to their consumers.
Initiating new models
The disruptors are always aware that there are better ways to run the operation in a less mystifying manner. For a long time now, consumers have found it hard to meet the hospitals’ costs and other services. As a result of this, healthcare disruptors have invented better ways for consumers to understand and meet unexpected prices. These models are more comfortable to know as they show the current trends in the medical field and past data.[4]
The Healthcare industry is slowly changing, and new players are emerging in the field. The new players are the health disruptors who are competing to satisfy the needs of the consumers. With the current technology, the disruptors have come up with reforms that aim at improving service delivery to consumers. This has resulted in stiff competition from the hospitals that are now worried as some of the doctors are shifting to becoming the disruptors.
