These days, it is becoming quite apparent how overseas investments and corporations can enrich a country’s standard of living and boost their economic level.\\
In line with this, there is no secret about China’s investments in East Africa, especially Ethiopia.\\
In recent times, the relationship between China and Ethiopia, also known as the Sino-Ethiopian relationship, has become one of the most robust and formidable partnerships in Africa. \\This Chinese-Ethiopian political and economic relationship has gained pace over the last two decades, and further cooperation and interchangeable businesses will occur in the following years.\\ In 2006, China started with specific investments in Ethiopia, making Ethiopia a significant global trade partner. When speaking about figures, it is evident how Sino-Ethiopian businesses and cooperation have expanded.\\
Several studies have started exploring Ethiopia’s economic and social transformation. However, the presence of China in Ethiopia could also carry certain risks, and China could benefit from it.\\ China’s engagement has been assessed differently. Research papers and articles are stating that Ethiopia’s natural resources are being exploited while democracy has been undermined (Cabestan, 2012 \& Shepard, 2019) \cite{ChinaandEthiopiaAuthoritarian,WhatChinaisreallyup}.\\
Therefore, this paper examines if specific approaches and investment of the Chinese in Ethiopia evolve to win-win cooperation rather than a neo-imperialism and authoritarian capitalism, as stated in various research articles (Hackenesch, 2013, Tianyang, 2019, Tadesse, 2019 \& Morgan, 2019) \cite{AidDonorMeetsStrategicPartner,Chinesebuiltrailwaylifeline,EthiopiaChinaPartner,ChinaEthiopiadialogue}.\\
Moreover, hypothesis and diverse research methods will be used to analyze the Sino-Ethiopian relationship. This paper examines previous literature and introduces a data analysis to assess the intentions behind the Sino-Ethiopian relationship.\\
Indeed, the focus will be aimed at various discussions regarding aspects of Sino-Ethiopian relations \& socio-economical engagements.\\
This paper aims to analyze and examine the impact of Chinese investments in Ethiopia based on hypotheses and specific research methods.
\section{Material}
The material used in this paper is mostly from business articles and newspapers, stating the current situation about both countries, many of which hold diverging views on this topic.\\
Since the Sino-Ethiopian relationship had begun in the late ’90s, it is still an ongoing topic with daily novelties. Therefore, a few books have been published that capture this topic, and most of the economic data has not been updated.\\ With the help of several exchanges with analysts, stakeholders, diplomats, and inhabitants, access to essential information about the Sino-Ethiopian relationship and development has been retrieved to a certain degree.
\section{Limitations}
It is a fact that Chinese companies or investors who have heavily operated in Ethiopia must all be registered in the Ministry of Industry, and those who do not operate need to be delisted.\\
The delisting of companies happens after using different research papers and articles, which could lead to the inaccuracy of Chinese FDI enterprises in Ethiopian statistics.\\ Not only the inaccuracy of data such as different annual details and the fact of not being current are reasons for limitations, but political instabilities are also a major factor which continuously causes a state of emergencies yielding a barrier in front of free scientific research.\\ Ethiopia had been charged with crimes against human rights. These circumstances hamper the situation and lead to minor access to essential information about the country and its economic and social development. \\
Therefore, it was quite difficult and dangerous to undertake interviews with analysts, stakeholders, or even governmental counterparts about the recent state of affairs.\\ In addition to that, interview outcomes needed to be kept confidential and anonymous.
