The law allows the police to use legitimate force if needed to maintain peace, order, and when making arrests. However, the amount of force used in different situations is contentious. When the police use too much force, it violates the law. Police brutality refers to conscious and deliberate actions taken by the police towards suspects from a powerless social group. Most people feel that the police cannot protect them, and instead, they make the problem worse; it makes the people lose faith and trust in the police. The role of the police is to maintain law and order and prevent crimes. The decline in confidence and trust in the police is harmful to minimizing criminal tendencies and improving security. When citizens lack trust in the police, people feel that they do not have any purpose in society.

Strategies used to control Police brutality
