How to avoid plagiarism
Avoiding plagiarism includes citing information, ideas, and gaining new insight into the research. Citing information in work is crucial as it engages common knowledge presented by a researcher while analyzing work and considering effectiveness in academic work. However, research work needs ethics and standards to be followed. Reports are forms of writing that include data, statistics and figures representing some concepts and topic. From the Master’s degree course, I have learnt to research, analyze, evaluate and present ideas in a particular format. I have gained knowledge of necessary writing skills, ethics in writing, format, structure, referencing, plagiarism, etc. These are important and are presented in the best way to ensure effectiveness in writing report or research papers. I am trying to learn different types of referencing style which will help me to present my data in the best form. There are several types of referencing style, such as APA, Harvard, MLA, Chicago, etc. Referencing style includes citing the source and presenting information about the author, date of publication, topic, source, etc. Referencing, therefore, contains as an ethical standard to be followed in writing purpose. Master’s course has consequently helped me to gain knowledge regarding future opportunities in the business while emphasizing writing, researching, referencing, avoiding plagiarism and presenting data with evidence. A common understanding of literature is presented in lectures and notes that I have studied in detail.
