How websites and applications play a major role in sharing content

In our weekly reading about social media, I was able to understand how websites and applications play a major role in sharing content between individuals. The websites and applications are designed to be user friendly and can be accessed through computers, laptops and mobile phone. Social media utilizes internet enabling individuals to quickly communicate between people by sharing content with the public. Social media plays a major role in promoting business around the world. The uniqueness of these platforms is that they are uncensored hence individuals can share content without limitation. However, some social media companies restrict what s shared through some forms of penalties. Social networks on the other side it changes how people communicate over the internet. Social networks alter how business operations are carried out. Current events are transferred through the social network and one can capture events through videos pictures (Kim & Hastak, 2018). Social networks are being used by individuals to sell products or offer services and hence expanding your brand in different regions. The is also the real-time transfer of information through social networks. One can watch and listen to live events and also be alerted through notifications. Individuals go shopping and get vouchers which offer discounts for a specific item in the market the voucher type is referred to as a coupon. They may be in the form of dollar-off-deals or percentage of deals.

I have used Manufacturer coupons and Newspaper Coupons these coupons come from the local newspaper and they offer good discounts. I have also come across a free shopping coupon this coupon I got during the holidays in one of my frequent shopping malls. The mall has a unique way of providing coupons to retain customers, the mall requests your name and email address for alerting you of the new products that one should buy. I have never received a free shipping coupon or Expiring coupons; I think for these two coupons I have never had the advantage of receiving one although my friends give me stories about them. My father likes reading newspapers so I have to wait for the coupon newspaper all the time. Coupons have a lot of benefits to the user as well as to the supplier of goods since for e producer he can get goods at a low price well the supplier gets the advantage of retaining customers as well as getting new ones (Trump, 2016). Coupons help also business individuals to build loyal customers. Since coupons offer discounts to most customers it attracts more people to buy products with an expectation of having a discount. According to a survey conducted by Keyi & Wensheng (2020), there was 50% increase in the number of customers when customers were given coupons., so one could term it as beneficial and on the other hand a promotion gimmick. I have bought products that I had been recommended by my friend in school and my experience with that product prompted me to recommend that same product to another friend. A survey done by Tran (2017) showed 84% of customers trusted recommendations of products from friends and families.
