Human Services (Funding).

In order to keep the agency running smoothly, there several ways in which it gets its sources. One of those is under government funding program called Mandatory funding by the Department Of Health And Human Services subsidiaries. Instead of the government funding adults with developmental disabilities, it funds the organization so that it can be able to provide them with necessary services. This funding is given through Medicaid benefits, where it pays for a broad scope of services for individuals with a developmental disability, and they have limited financial resources. Besides, it provides governmental funding for long-term services and supports. It also accounts for institutional care for nursing facilities, and agencies such as this one.

Additionally, there is another non-governmental source of funding the organization using to sustain its operations. The organizations receive funds through family support dollars, where family members of individuals suffering from developmental disabilities pay for the services being rendered to the patients. This funding source usually generates funds on either monthly or yearly basing depending on the contract. As much this source continues, it is not reliable to sustain the smooth provision of services. The organization also receives its funding from private funding. The organization receives funds from private companies and organizations as a way of social responsibility to the community around them. Such companies have dedicated a fraction of their revenue towards supporting the organization. The organization has been lucky to receive a significant amount of cash from multiple organizations such as (XXXX) for years that have been of high relevance in sustaining the organization. The organization also receives its funds through grants and foundations.  By grants, it gets funded through formula funding, where it usually gets funded due to its eligibility due to the enormous number of developmentally disabled individuals. Besides, it has been awarded this grant for years due to its definite merits. It also gets funded through a philanthropic organization that is dedicated to giving back to society.

Part3.

In a scenario where either one or more of these sources of funding are lost, I would implement the following strategies to secure a new funding source. One of the steps that I would take is to organize charity events scheduled on a given interval set towards raising funds that would be used in running the organization and filling the missing funding gap. The second step that I will take is to start money-generating projects in conjunction with the local community. This project can be those of selling things like T-shirts with the organization brand or providing some essential services to members of the community at an affordable fee. Finely, I would also take a step into local funding where I urge local firms, businesses, individuals, religious institutions, and even government officials to contribute to the organization’s more significant course.

Part4.

In addition to taking steps that would create new sources of cash inflow, I would also take steps to save costs. One of the measures would be to cut spending on less-essential services and items and direct the saving to the most needed services and saving the remaining cash. The second step that I would take is to reduce the number of organization staff. I will reduce the number of employees to the number that can run the organization smoothly. Another way to cut costs is by cutting a small fraction of employees’ salaries. Before doing so, I would explain to them the reason behind the wages cut. I would also reduce costs by recycling some resources that were initially being disposed of. Finely, this would offer the opportunity of the organization to invest in cash-generating businesses.
