The Ottoman Empire

The Ottoman Empire is one of the longest-lasting and mightiest dynasties that has ever been in the history of the world. This dynasty was a super-power that was run by the Islamic religion. Sultan was the chief leader of this Empire, and he had absolute political and religious authority over the people he ruled.

The Ottoman Empire was founded in 1299 by Osman I, who was a leader from the tribe of Anatolia in Turkey. It ruled a more significant portion of North Africa, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East for over 600 years.

Even though Western Europeans perceived the Ottoman Empire as a threat, most historians acknowledge that this Empire is significant because it was a source of regional stability and security. It was also a good source of culture, science, arts and religion. Therefore, it has left an impact on historical ideas because of the stability that has always been present in the region. Besides, the aspects of arts and culture are now dominant because of the Ottoman Empire.

The Roman Empire

The Roman Empire is an ancient Empire that revolved around the city of Rome. The civil wars and unrest that took place in the 1st century BC brought about the change of Rome from the republic that it was to an empire. The period encompassed Julius Caesar’s period because he took over the full power over the Rome Empire, and its whole dictator.

The Roman Empire was formed around 27 BCE after the Roman Republic demised. This Empire continued to the last eclipse in the WestWest around the 5th century CE.

The Roman Empire is significant because it left a legacy that has since lasted, and is used in the world today. During the reign of Tiberius, Christianity came through, and the Christian minority in the Empire were hunted and oppressed. Eventually, this religion became predominant in the Empire. It later spread all over Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. Without Rome, Maybe Christianity would not be as popular as it is in recent times. The historical impact that the Roman Empire has left is that when people talk about the history of Christianity, they often associate it with this Empire because the movement is best known to spread Christianity. As much as there are other accomplishments that the change brought about, Christianity is the most distinct one that dominates all the other.

Essay

The Mongol Empire existed from 1206 CE to 1368 CE. It dominated the whole of the Asian continent, from the Black Sea, and to the Korean peninsula after the initial conquests of Genghis Khan, who was its founder. Khan was also called Chinggis, and he rules from 1206 CE up to 1227 CE. He was also referred to as the universal ruler or the Great Khan of the Mongol people. Khan managed to forge the Empire when he united the nomadic tribe and created an active army base on a high, fast and light coordinated cavalry. The Mongols had expert archers and horsemen, and for this reason, they managed to defeat the armies in China, Iran, Eastern Europe, and Russia. The rise of the Mongol Empire was significant because of the many things that they did, which relates to both economic and social factors.

The Mongol Empire is known for trading stations. The people under this Empire were industrious, and they set various trading stations, where they could trade the commodities that they had. They also created merchant associations that enhanced their trade and the relationships with the people they traded with. Even before the rise of the Empire, the Mongols favoured trade. These people were nomadic, and as pastoral, they paid more attention to their herds. They made little for themselves through their nomadic lives, and the Mongol trade became the cornerstone of society. The Mongols herded and hunted, and few of them were weavers, potters, and weapon makers. The Mongol had to trade most of the items they required living, with the agricultural people who lived around them. For Genghis Khan to facilitate trade, he decided to offer the protection of merchants who came from the East and the WestWest.

Additionally, these merchants also had a higher status than the one allowed by the Persians or the Chinese, who did not like both the trade and the traders. In the Mongol Empire, all the merchants had high social status, protection, were exempted for tax, and they got consistent aid and loans from the Khans. As a result of the Mongol Empire, the Mongol trade routes between the East and the WestWest eventually turned into the Silk Road that connected Asia to Europe, thereby allowing the free flow of goods, ideas, and technologies.

Pax Mongolia means the Mongol Peace in Latin. It is a historical term that describes the stabilizing effect, which the Mongol Empire had in the vast Eurasian territory, which the Mongols had conquered between the 13th century and the 14th century AD. Pax Mongolia enhanced the establishment of communication and commerce in the region, particularly the Silk Road, therefore forming closer ties between the Western world and the Eastern world. The reputation of the Mongol Empire was to seriously guard the Silk Road and ensure that it was useful for the travellers.

With the domination of the Asian continent by the Mongol Empire, there were a lot of changes that took place. The Mongols were best known for the trade that they undertook, as well as the creation of merchant associations that they made through favouring the merchants. As a result, they created the Silk Road, which was essential in connecting the East and the West. This connection made access to both the East and the West successful, and it is what brought about the Eurasian civilization. Therefore, the Mongol Empire is essential because of the connection that it brought, between the East and the WestWest, which are distinct even to date.
