Case Study: Identifying the Solution and Implementing the Plan
The company has already bought the equipment and does not have any plans of abandoning the project because of its fault. As the project manager, I have to ensure that all the projects are implemented as expected and that funds are utilized as projected. Therefore, despite the problem at hand, employees have to be trained on how they will use the equipment. As the project manager, I play an essential role in the sustainability of the project (Silvius, 2016, p.2). Therefore, the employees must follow anything that I say, without asking many questions. As the training should be started in three days, and there is no plan, the resources that were used will be effectively utilized. In this sense, I would make the employees who will work with the machine to work overtime and get ready on how they will start their training. The ideal way to carry out practical training would be to liaise with the company from where the equipment was bought, and let them send in people who will help with training.
Implementing the solution entails making contact with the company that the equipment was purchased from, and ensure that it gives guidelines on how my company would benefit from the after-sales services. For the employees, they will have to cooperate as required, because there will be no time for negotiations. I will have to show my competence by ensuring that I put in strict measures for the employees to cooperate (Silvius, 2016, p.2). With cooperation from the employees, everything else will fall in its rightful place because they are the pillars that hold the company together. Once employees learn how to handle the machine, it will be easier to keep it in the company and use it for the daily operations of the company.
