Immunization
Immunization is a process that involves people being made resistant to the common infectious diseases through the administration of vaccines, which stimulates the body’s immune system to enable an individual to get appropriate protection against subsequent diseases (Pastor & Vespignani, 2002). Immunization is administered to the children according to the described periods at their age of growth. The doctors describe the possibility of attacks from different types of diseases that can risk the life of a child. The immunization is administered depending on the schedule set widely in preventive strategies to ensure they closely monitor the health progress made by children, and if the vaccines are fully operational as expected.
The medical departments in various states have their conditions spelled out on the importance of immunization and why parents should consider having children undergo various vaccine administration steps. The standard rules linked to the vaccines are that; they should administer recommended vaccines if immunization history is unknown or incomplete (Pastor & Vespignani, 2002). Again, they are warned not to restart or make additional dosages on a vaccine series on extended intervals between the doses. Immunization is a proven tool useful for the control and elimination of life-threatening diseases, which have initially caused 2 to 3 million deaths each year. The World Immunization Week targets to highlight the collective responsibility to keep people from vaccine-preventable diseases.
No Federal State requirements are demanding informed consent specifically concerning immunization but rather require healthcare staff to provide a Vaccine information Statement to the patient, the parents, or the legally accepted representative before they administer each dose (Middleman et al., 2006). Every state is responsible for deciding the vaccines required for a child’s attendance in a medical facility or school in that given state. The parents have an overall duty to track a child’s vaccine record as the schools and childcare facilities in that state demands proof of vaccination. Immunization can be considered a beneficial aspect in society as it cultivates maintaining health status from a child’s birth to all through their development stages. The vaccines can positively impact the health, productivity, and cognitive development of an individual as long as vaccine is covered sufficiently to interrupt transmission for broader success. Immunization is responsible for modifying disease epidemiology requiring the essential changes in the vaccine strategies to achieve continued success through shared responsibility.

Measles is a very contagious disease caused by a virus and spread through the air calling for prevention with the MMR vaccine.
