IMPACT OF BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY IN HEALTH CARE
Health has, is and will eternally be the greatest treasure a man can receive. When sicknesses strike, there are perils and misfortune come along with that. No man desires to live in pain. In the world, every man seeks all dimensions that will offer substantial-good health care. Our country has also been working tirelessly to ensure that every citizen has enjoyed good health care. These efforts have borne fruits but with the change of technology, various gaps have been left out unfilled. These have caused the health care system to become less effective in offering excellent services. This paper seeks to describe the transformative technological tool, blockchain in healthcare.
Blockchain technology has been a buzz word that helps in keeping records of transactions in an open decentralized ledger. It works through a peer to peer network is sharing the information. Its structure is highly secured through the cryptographic codding system. The health care system has suffered many problems that are critical for good service provision. Some of the healthcare problems include lack of private health insurance, high-cost health care and so on (Randall, Goel, and Abujamra, 2017). Healthcare has experienced medical fraud in management. This is unethical behaviour that has brought poor service delivery. The blockchain technology that deals with cryptocurrencies has been an excellent ideal that has a decentralized control. The decentralized ledger offers a fair deal that no one can manipulate any cost and amount. T
he blockchain has revolutionized the cost of health care. The technology has no fees associated with hence every additional fee is put away. The technology has enhanced efficiency in data management. This is because no man can distort any information filled in the system since the data is well encrypted in a complex codding system. Blockchain has revolutionized the culture of the health departments. It has increased the patient’s confidence regarding his/her data since the doctors cannot use the data without being noticed (Dasaklis, Casino, and Patsakis, 2018). These shows that blockchain has been a great resource. Concerning this technology, I would like to pose these questions: Will you invest in artistic blockchain content? How do you think blockchain could break the wheel in non-democratic countries? Would you rather be a bitcoin miner or investor?
