The article by Habon and other authors addresses the influence of training and development programs on employees in terms of job performance and productivity. The authors carried out a survey by administering questionnaires to employees in particular restaurants- McDonald’s and Jollibee. Study participants were male between the age of 18 to 29 with working experience of the utmost three years. From the response, it was obtained that quick-service restaurant provides training and talent development programs to a large extent. High level of productivity was demonstrated and excellent performance of job roles once employees underwent training programs. The authors concluded that learning and development induce a significant impact on productivity. Additionally, the research recommended the learning programs to include compensation and benefits like shifting schedules to improve the competitiveness of the crew.
