Claims that Syncrude excavated more soil than excavation conducted during construction of the Greta Pyramid of Cheops, Greta Wall of China, Suez Canal as well as the top ten biggest dams in the world lacks an argument. Based on various factors of consideration on the above statements, the argument can result in some truth or false argument based on different considerations. Syncrude excavated approximately and area of 13m deep and 900m long in which in the real sense, it produced a large amount of soil from the site (Longley, 2019).
Moreover, the amount of the soil excavated based on various parameters and concerns cannot exceed the volume of the soil removed from the earth surface during construction of the projects named above (Longley, 2019). Kariba dam in Zimbabwe occurs as the largest dam in the world based on the water capacity and surface area covered. It has a size of 617m length and 128m high. Based on these parameters, the soil excavated during its construction exceeds that excavated by Syncrude. One largest dam in the world possess such amount of the soil removed during its development, and when nine other would get added, the amount would be higher as compared to the main argument. Greta Pyramid of Cheops, Greta Wall of China, Suez Canal cover a wide area meaning that large volume of soils was removed as during the process of construction which exits above the estimated volume of the soil excavated by the Syncrude.
The statement “Refugees claimants who use fake documents to enter Canada should not be condemned as dishonest or line jumper” possess a strong point of arguments. In most cases, refugees flee from their homeland based on various factors such as persecution hence forced to use any technique to enters into countries like Canada using fraudulent documents (Government of Canada, 2019). As a result, refugees who use fake documents should not be condemned as dishonest or line jumpers based on various factors (Castle-Miller, 2016). Based on the multiple factors that result in fleeing by the refugees, the government of Canada, as well as international organizations, recognizes the issues of the false documentation by the refuges while seeking asylum. Besides, refugees face various challenges such as natural disaster, war, violence, poverty as well as the hunger to name a few which most of the countries understand including Canada (Government of Canada, 2019). Such challenges make the people seek asylum for peace and save their lives hence making them use false documents to enter into safer countries.
War
Various sources indicate that war in many countries contributes to about 70 million displacements hence seeking refuge in various peaceful countries. As per Castle-Miller (2016), different internal conflicts due to diverse causes would result in conflicts, war and persecutions making people seek asylum in various countries. In such cases, relevant authorities in Canada knows and understand the situation those refuges faces in their countries which causes them to use the false documents in entering Canada (Castle-Miller, 2016). The asylums programs in Canada aim to help those running from persecution from their countries. Government of Canada (2019) explains that the programs hold various criteria while considering admission of the refugees based on multiple factors. For example, the Syrian wars have resulted in mass displacements making most of the Syrian population to leave their country and seek refuge to other western and European countries (Castle-Miller, 2016). Under such a violent state and fear of facing persecutions by the fighters, many refugees employ the use of the illegal entry in most countries like Canada or use forged documents. On the same, note, in the case of Somalia, people flee from their homes due to constant fights and conflicts between the government forces and Al-Shabaab. For fear of their lives, the refugees could use any means in getting to the peaceful neighbouring countries.
Natural Disasters
Natural disasters have resulted based on various factors such as climate change. When natural phenomena occur such as floods, hurricane, volcanic eruptions, as well as earthquakes, they affect people leading to displacement in a sudden manner (Castle-Miller, 2016). Such events make to seek foods and shelter in the neighboring countries, which could offer humanitarian assistance such as Canada. In such a situation, refugees seek asylum for survival like other human being due to lack of food and shelters as basic needs for human beings (Canadian Council for Refugees, 2018). Moreover, when faced with such challenges, refuges strive to convince various authorities to enter in countries like Canada, which makes them forge their documents (Canadian Council for Refugees, 2018). However, most of the government understands such cases and even which realized they get allowed into the country based on the factors prompting them to use fake documents. The Canadian government through its various institutions such as Refugee and Humanitarian Resettlement Program and In-Canada Asylum Program guarantees taking care of multiple natural disaster victims as well as welcoming them into the country (Canadian Council for Refugees, 2018). Such actions originate from evaluations of the causes of those refugees to flee from their homeland to Canada even if they use false documents.
However, those who disagree with the ideas of “Refugees claimants who use fake documents to enter Canada should not be condemned as dishonest, or line jumper” argues based on various factors. Such false documentation enables entry of refuges in Canada in which it could result in multiple insecurity issues as well as causing other social problems. To counter various critics on the statements of the argument above, the Canadian authorities agree that government and international laws recognize the use of false documentation by the refuges. As a result, the Refugee Convention prohibits all government around the world, including Canada, to penalize the refugees who seek asylum based on various factors in their homeland (Castle-Miller, 2016). On the same note, Canadian authorities indicate that refugee claimants never pose security threats to Canada; instead, they only seek a safe place to stay and protection from threatening conditions of their lives back home.
The question “why does a simple shift from monthly to weekly mortgage result in such enormous savings for the borrower?” poses a point of argument based on various factors. Some of the loan take-ups opt to pay the loan every month. On most cases, their monthly payments of the mortgages include the taxes posed on the property as well as the personal insurance which accompanies principles and interests (Haggerty, 2011). Moreover, some of them opts another different payment mode of mortgages like biweekly. In this strategy, the monthly mortgage gets splinted into two halves paid after every two weeks. As a result, the participants would get making 26 payments per years instead of 13 based on the monthly payments. As per Haggerty (2011), the extra amount paid would reflect into the principals hence reduction in the some of the interest. The biweekly payment methods and strategies originate from lenders or the selected marketing firm.
Biweekly mortgage payments strategies offer significant benefits to the individuals as compared to the monthly system. For instance, people who choose to use biweekly plans; they end up paying off their mortgage factors as compared to those with a monthly payment schedule (Crone 2017). For example, if an individual pays $100,000 home and pout down 20%, that person would have $80,000 mortgage (Bucks, Critchfield & Singer, 2019). In case a person decides to take 30 years mortgage and use the monthly payments system, he or she would require 30 years to pay it off (Crone, 2017). Moreover, if that individual selects biweekly strategy of payments, he would take 24 years to pay off the loan. Furthermore, the system offers opportunities for perfect budgeting by the individuals more so those paid on a biweekly basis. According to Crone (2017), the biweekly plans ensures that a person makes savings on the interests. For instance, the lender could allow the individual to place the extra annually loan payments directly towards the mortgage principal (Bucks, Critchfield & Singer, 2019). As a result, the person would possess the capability to pay off their principals, implying potential savings on interest over the specified years.
Moreover, the plans face various criticism based on their cons. For instance, different critics indicate that the system involves multiple fees involved as compared to the monthly payments schedule of the mortgage. On the same note, the biweekly mortgage plans face limited providers as most of the lenders prefer the monthly strategies (Haggerty, 2011). As a result, most of the homeowners seek the thirds party in offering the services in which it could as extra setup fees of around $300. On the same note, the contract of biweekly mortgage payments occurs as rigid and difficult to break. In some cases, it occurs as a permanent agreement; hence individuals face challenges of changing it to other types such as monthly plans (Haggerty, 2011). Similarly, while continuing with monthly mortgage plans and opts to switch to the biweekly, the person experiences some extra facilitating fees.
