Is it important to voice and understand that “Black Lives Matter”?
The ” Black Lives Matter” is a civil right and social movement which aims to campaign against racism and social injustices of the African American community. The discrimination that ethnic minority in the black community face in America and all over the world is affecting their socio-economic lives. It is important to voice out the injustice like police brutality and racial killings against black people because it has psychological, emotional as well as the physical aspect of black families. There are silent victims who have not gotten justice from the Criminal Justice System; hence the “Black Lives Matter” advocates and engages such a system to solve systematic racism and violence. It is imperative to understand why black lives matter as African Americans have the same rights and privileges regardless of their color. Racial equality and removing violence against black people is what American society needs to understand that ethnic minorities should be treated with dignity and respect the same as the white race. Conclusively, one should not dismiss or misunderstand the philosophy of “Black Lives Matter” movements as it advocates for racial equality and protecting disenfranchise black people from social injustice.
