Is there a future that is positive with artificial intelligence?

Most organizations and business belong to the school of thought that the shift towards artificial intelligence will enhance productivity and thus create employment opportunities. There is a notion that there is going to be a positive impact on the economy (Köse, 2018). There is a very high probability that the replacement of the workforce by artificial intelligence will take place. Some of these tasks include those that entail basic operations and those bearing repetitive procedures. Artificial intelligence might go an extra mile to what the humans are capable of doing. The deployment of decisions that are automated will be employed methods such as loan approvals, tracking of corruption cases, among other crimes associated with finances. Typically, there is a projection that firms will entirely benefit from elevated productivity, accompanied by automation. This, therefore, implies more revenue generation and thus the revival of the economy. The big question, however, is how to make proper utilization of the looming artificial intelligence. Evidently, a wide of jobs will be greatly impacted, and therefore scrutiny must be done to address the possible challenges (Connolly-Barker, 2018). Business organizations must address the biases that come along with artificial intelligence in the society since most employees may lose the intrinsic value that comes along with having being involved in the workforce. The recognition and relevance in the community begin to disappear. In order to set a balance between the human workforce and what can be done by artificial intelligence, the issues concerning the levels of education must be addressed. The role associated with working with artificial intelligence should be incorporated in schools.

Often, there has been a lot of controversies concerning ethics. It is unclear whether ethics should be taken as relative or absolute. All these controversies have come to be due to enlightenment. It is critical to analyze how thinkers were dealing with issues at that time. Since ancient times, people have always been grounded to religion. The moral standards were laid down by books such as the Quran and the bible. These morals were strictly believed that they were handed over by God. Supposedly the set of rules came down from the various factions of religion emanated from a pearl of wisdom that was divine. They, therefore, had the authority( Carr, 2018). They were considered nobody’s opinion but rather opinions from God. They served to issue humankind with objectively conduct code that was accepted. People were released with the incentives to obey these rules strictly. Some of the reactions to the problem of enlightenment include the following; one, there is the theory of the social contract. The theory asserts that humans are bound to set the rules that they agree among themselves to live together in harmony. Resultantly most of them were incorporated as laws by the government.

Second is the idea of utilitarianism that places more focus on trying to put morality in a foundation that is not religious. The initial pioneers of this concept were intellectuals like David Hume and Bentham Jeremy. They assert that happiness and pleasure have an attached intrinsic value. All these pleasers and satisfaction is what is required by man, and we strive to achieve them (Proulx, & Maheux, 2017). Something can be defined as useful if it promotes happiness and regards as bad if it yields suffering. Finally, is the ethics by Kant. Kant was opposed to utilitarianism. He ultimately had a different assertion of morality and its nature. He believed that morality is relative and that moral good or bad depends on the perception of society.
