ISRAELI SETTLEMENTS
Israeli settlements refer to civilian communities in which the citizen from Israel inhibit. Currently, the existence of Palestinian territories is associated with the West Bank and includes the East side of Jerusalem as well as the Golan Heights in Syrian territory. It would be accurate to say that the United States government have in the decades raised concerns over the territories. As a result, policies are drafted concerning the settlements in Israeli as the United Government administrators can show some differences. The latter relies on the question of whether the settlements are prohibited or not. Perhaps, Mike is right that the decision on whether the settlements are legit or not is not a United States concern.
The legal position is dynamic depending on different perspectives by the United States presidents. President Trump triggers a motion to make a change by redefining the American policy regarding the Israeli settlements. Therefore, in earlier decades, the United States has believed that the settlements are illegal. In fact, the ideology of illegitimate position of the Israeli settlements has remained until the term of President Obama[1]. A change arose with the era of President Trump in position; thus, the latter declared the position of the Israeli settlements as being legal. Of course, the perspectives of Trump prove that the position of Israeli settlements as being legal. Perhaps, such an ideology indicates a dynamic position on the view of the Israeli settlements.
The Israeli settlements are illegally classified since they are believed to be inconsistent with the international laws. The settlements associated with Israeli are considered to be violating the law internationally thus, it is considered illegal. Would it be possible that the conclusions are rarely conclusive regarding the settlements? Presumably, the majority of the United States administrator intends to initiate policies against the settlements to maintain a political aspect. For instance, it would be surprising that President Obama’s predecessor (Trump) does not support his ideas. In fact, Trump believes that the settlements not prohibited. Perhaps, Trump’s perspectives suggest that the settlements do not violate any. However, the answer to whether the violation of international laws is valid cannot be accounted for since no US superior has approved it.
The dynamic position established by the United States concerning the Israeli settlements would result in conflicts. The latter would impact on Palestinians as well as the Jews. Hence, the dismissal of illegal impacts of the settlements means that the structure of law has been undermined and the process of peace influenced[2]. Besides, national rights regarding the Palestinian as well as self-determination can be considered to be undermined. The state solution can be referred to diminish with adjustment of Jews settlements. Truly, Trump’s administration does not align with the logical argument of both Palestinian and the Jews.
Generally, it would be right to suggest that Mike Pompeo’s decision on whether the settlements are legit or not is not a United States concern. Both President Obama and Trump do not agree on how legit the settlements are. However, each person does not justify his stand o the settlements but makes mere assumptions. Maybe, the most affected or involved parties (Jews and Palestinians) can comprehend the impacts of the settlements; thus, they should make the most accurate conclusions. Making other suggestions rarely on assumptions.
