Journal 2: Living Without a Phone
Question 10
Nowadays, it has become challenging to live without a phone. Indeed, I use my phone for a variety of uses, including communicating with friends and family, as alarm reminders in the morning, apps for playing games, and even taking videos and pictures. I, for instance, have many friends and family members that I talk to regularly, and thus a mobile phone is an essential part of my life. Moreover, when I am bored, I mostly entertain myself by playing games, mainly on the phone.
If I had to live without a phone, I would probably spend most of my time reading, or in active engagements. As I read a lot through my phone, I would have a more natural transition in reading books instead. I would probably learn in fun and inspiring spaces, such as public libraries, bookstores, or even parks.
I would also spend more time engaging in physical activities, such as cooking, baking, or even active workouts. As I love cooking, I would probably spend more time studying and learning new recipes and experimenting with new ingredients. Interestingly, I would merge this with my love for reading and writing, to probably create a blog, or write a recipe book. I believe that doing this would also increase my writing, reading, and cooking skills. It would also enable me to become more physically active, which would make me healthier.
