George Will’s Newsweek Article Reflection essay.
According to George, before the legalization of abortion, the state was experience challenges on murder and crime cases which was a threat to the nation. In the article, it is further states that abortion legalization has reduced the crime rates in society and also the number of murder cases has dropped (Reagan, 2). In this paper, we shall review and reflect George Will’s article on abortion.
Legalization of abortion has helped the state through reduction of crime since crime is majorly caused by poverty and hardships. It is true that whenever a woman gives birth to a child unprepared, her husband or herself can get involved in criminal activities to cater for the child. Indeed, the legalization has also stabilized the state’s economy since the population has experienced controlled growth which in turn is of great advantage to the state and the citizens.
Abortion legalization is also considered as a minor social development with high benefits since the percentage of crime is reduced by 50%. Even though taking out lives that way is moral negligence, it often helps to clear the children who were suspected to be born with criminal-like behaviour that would pose a threat to the society (Reagan, 2).
In summary, abortion is a solution to rectify one’s life due to unpreparedness. It is an issue which has helped reduce crime in the society. Even though it is nearly immoral to abort, but it has helped to stabilize the economy.
