Lesson 9 Assignment
The vacation I remember most vividly was when I was ten years old. I remember that particular day clearly because it was my birthday. It was a Friday afternoon, and I wanted to go out to the beach. However, my parents were against the idea because they said I was too young and not ready to go out alone. However, being the cheeky boy I was, I secretly took my orange beach short from my mum’s suitcase, wore it, and sneaked out with my younger brother to go to the beach. He was six years old. We went out to the beach together oblivious to the bad weather in the afternoon. Soon after, in my excitement, I left my younger brother’s hand and started running through the sand, despite the looming danger. This was a bad idea because my brother started wailing loudly, and this caught the attention of my mother, who could see us from her bedroom window. I can never forget the look on my mother’s face. Needless to say, that was the day I received the worst punishment from my parents, in all my childhood. I was also banned from going to the beach alone.
